Gábor Koncz was born in Mezőkeresztes, Hungary in 1938. Graduated from the Academy of Drama and Film in Budapest in 1963 and started to appear in movies around the same time, Gábor rapidly becoming a well known actor. Mostly known for his work in the theater in the past two decades, Gábor only occasionally appears in movies and on TV. For Western audiences, he is probably best known for playing the Russian gangster Vagran Rostavili in Red Heat, which was filmed in Hungary.
