The M1 Garand is used by US Marines fighting in the Chosin Reservoir.
M1 Carbine
The M1 Carbine is used by Marines in the film.
M1903A4 Springfield
The Chinese PLA sniper uses a M1903A4 Springfield sniper rifle.
Mosin Nagant M91/30
Chinese soldiers use the Mosin Nagant M91/30 rifle.
Machine Guns
Browning M2HB
The Browning M2HB machine gun is seen used by US Marines.
DShK heavy machine gun
PLA forces on the Chinese side of the Yalu River use the DShK heavy machine gun for anti-air defense.
M1918A2 BAR
Marines in the Chosin Reservoir are also seen with M1918A2 BAR machine guns.
Fighter Plane Armament
Nudelman-Rikhter NR-23
The MiG-15 fighter that engages in a dogfight with VF-32 has a pair of Nudelman-Rikhter NR-23 cannons as its primary weapons. An actual MiG-15 was used for the film, from the Planes of Fame Museum in Chino, California.
Browning M2 Aircraft
The Browning M2 Aircraft appears as the primary armament of the F4U-4 Corsair fighters, mounted in groups of three in each wing for a total of six.
