Grand Theft Auto IV (the main game)

Handguns

Glock 22

The standard handgun in Grand Theft Auto IV is visibly a second generation Glock 22. It is the standard issue police sidearm and is used by all law enforcement agents as well as many other characters throughout the game. Jacob gives Niko one in "Jamaican Heat", and Niko uses it to cover Jacob during the level, and he later uses it to execute various characters, notably Vlad Glebov, and Mikhail Faustin. He later uses one when he and Roman enter the apartment of Bernie Crane (aka Florian Cravic), and in the "Deal: Mr and Mrs. Bellic", a hitman uses one to try and kill Niko, but ends up killing Roman with it. In the "Revenge: Out of Commission" Level, Jimmy Pegorino uses one during his last stand against Niko. Though it's difficult to discern this detail in-game, looking at the weapon's texture close up reveals the number "22" on the slide, confirming that it is a Glock 22, despite it's 17 round magazine (incorrect for the caliber). In addition, the front sights on the weapon are a mirror image of the rear sights, which is obviously incorrect.

IMI Desert Eagle

The .357 Magnum Desert Eagle, called a 'Combat Pistol' in the game, is the more powerful handgun in GTA IV, and is used by a variety of characters throughout the game. In the mission: "The Holland Play", if you decide to kill Playboy X without a cinematic execution, and before he retreats into an alley, you can pick one up next to his dead body. This comes in handy, as the pistol is not available for purchase until much later, after the mission "Museum Piece" is completed. In "The Lost and Damned", Ray Boccino uses one to threaten Johnny Klebitz and Jim Fitzgerald in the opening cinematic of the mission: "Was it Worth it?".

Shotguns:

Ithaca 37 "Stakeout"

The Ithaca 37 "Stakeout", appears as the "Pump Shotgun". It is used by various gang members and by some LCPD, N.O.O.S.E. and FIB officers. For some reason, the in-game clone has a side mounted ejection port, instead of a bottom loading/ejection port that all Ithaca 37 shotguns are fitted with in real life. Also, the in-game clone can hold 8 shells, four more than it's real-life counterpart. Packie McReary uses one during the bank robbery in "Three Leaf Clover" before switching to his M4A1, Packie's friend Gordon King uses one during the mission "Waste Not Want Knots", and Jimmy Pegorino briefly uses one to threaten Niko in the opening cinematic to the mission "Flat Line".

Remington 11-87

The Remington 11-87 semi-auto appears as the "Combat Shotgun", it becomes available later in the game, and can be obtained from LCPD patrol cars despite the fact that the cops themselves actually use the Pump Shotgun when prevoked. The in-game version can hold 10 shells, two more than it's real-life counterpart. It also has a fancy thumbhole stock. In "The Lost and Damned", there are two versions of this particular weapon avaliable for some reason. The first is the thumbhole stocked version from the original game which is avaliable for purchase from Terry's gun van, and normal weapon shops. The second version is fitted with an M4 style stock. This version seems to be an easter egg, and has to be found in certain locations, such as the apartment building in the mission: "Buyers Market". This version also appears in one of the trailers.

Sub Machine Guns:

IMI Micro Uzi

The Micro Uzi is used by many criminals in Liberty City. The weapon has a large magazine capacity of 50 rounds (even though the magazine's dimensions match those of a 32 round magazine) and a high rate of fire, but is somewhat lacking in accuracy and range. Jacob uses one twice in the game, first during the "Russian Revolution" level, and later brandishes one in the final levels of the game. Mikail Faustin also uses one briefly before he is killed by Niko in "The Master and the Molotov".

SW MP-10

The MP-10 is standard issue for LCPD N.O.O.S.E. teams and is also used by some gang members. It has a smaller magazine capacity (30 rounds) than the Micro SMG, but is more accurate and has a somewhat longer effective range.

Assault Rifles:

AK-47

The AK-47 is used almost entirely by criminals in the City. This is NOT the AKM, as evidenced by lack of muzzle brake and the stock, which is angled downward compared to an AKM. It is seen many times throughout the game, provided in some missions and brandished by many different characters. Notably, it is used by Jimmy Pegorino in the "Revenge: Mr. and Mrs. Bellic" level when trying to kill Niko, but he accidentally kills Kate McReary instead. In either ending, Niko is seen with it as he stands before either Dmitri Rascalov, or Jimmy Pegorino.

M4A1 Carbine

The M4A1 Carbine is issued to LCPD N.O.O.S.E teams, prison guards, and select officers guarding public places such as subway stations and the airport, and appears to have the carry handle removed and has only a stick-up rear sight. Niko uses an M4A1 when he rob the Bank of Liberty in the mission "Three Leaf Clover".

Sniper Rifles:

Remington 700

The basic bolt action sniper rifle featured in the game is the Remington 700. It is used by the majority of marksmen in the game. The gun appears to have undergone slight customization, with a 10 round magazine fitted, yet only holds 5. Niko uses one in one level to cover Packie during a drug deal gone wrong, and later he uses one when he hits a construction site with Playboy X.

Heckler & Koch PSG1

The semi automatic sniper rifle is a PSG1. Pinpoint accuracy, but overpriced in the game. Holds 10 rounds.

Heavy Weapons

RPG-7V

The RPG-7V is the only rocket launcher in the game. Niko uses one when on a mission for Derrick McReary, using it to shoot down a helicopter from a boat.

In addition to the previous weapons.

CZ 75 Automatic

The game's version of this weapon is a CZ 75 Automatic, the machine pistol version of the CZ 75 pistol. It holds 17 rounds, and is reffered to as an "Automatic 9mm". It is introduced in the mission: "Bad Cop Drop". It is very accurate, and has a very high firing rate, but it isn't that powerful. The game's Glock 17 even seems to do more damage than this pistol.

Sawn-off double barreled shotgun

Called a "Sawed off Shotgun" in the game. It is the first weapon that you are equiped with in the game. It can be fired while riding on a Motorcycle, but can't be used in other types of vehicles. Reguardless, it is the only shotgun in the series so far that can be fired from a vehicle. Unlike the other shotguns in the game, this shotgun has an acurate ammo capacity, as it holds only two shells. On a bike, this weapon is very effective, as it can take down almost any target in no time. On foot, it has a very wide range, but a very slow firing rate due to it's small ammo capacity. A good weapon to have, but it can't compare to the game's Armsel Striker.

Sentinel Arms Striker-12

Called an "Assault Shotgun" in the game, but is also referred to as a "Street Sweeper" by characters. This weapon is arguably the best new weapon introduced in the Lost and Damned. It holds 8 shells, and is fully automatic, with an extremly high firing rate. It can dispatch of ememies, and vehicles in no time, and aparently has the ability to take down helicopters as well. It is introduced in the mission: "Heavy Toll", but is notably used during the mission: "Shifting Weight", in which you ride on the back of a speeding bike and take out numerous cop cars, SWAT vans, and helicopters with infinite ammo for the shotgun.

Heckler & Koch HK69A1 40mm Launcher

Called the "Grenade Launcher" in the game. It can be used to bounce grenades off walls, and corners in a similar fashion to the RPG. It is introduced in the mission: "Action/Reaction". It is very effective, but sometimes overshoots your intended target. Though it fires one grenade at a time, up to 20 can be held in reserve.
