Thanks! for the great info! I moved the discussion to the Discussion page. I believe that we should still not delete the entire page, in that we are here to educate the public and there have been enough people who openly wondered what real guns the movie's weapons were based on. The same reason it's called .45 ACP and not .452 ACP.In short I'm not sure, I mean the Russians sure get specific with their rifle rounds; 7.62x39mm, so I'm not sure sure why it's only 9x18mm. Just one of the idiosyncrasies of having so many different people manufacture and design ammo. Same thing with the true 9mm, the .380, it had a bullet diameter of 9.0mm, but in standard its .355 not .380.
