STI International is an American firearm company based in Texas. The company was founded in 1987 by American gunsmith Virgil Tripp as Tripp Research, Inc. In 1993, the company was renamed to Strayer-Tripp International after engineer Sandy Strayer joined the company. In 1994, Sandy Strayer left STI and founded Strayer-Voigt Inc. with Michael Voigt, and the STI name was redefined as "Science, Technology, Ingenuity". In 2020, the company changed its name yet again to Staccato, named after one of its pistol lines.
The company is known for producing modular, high-capacity double stack 1911 frames (named the "2011") aimed at competition shooters.

Hi-Capa is a name used by several airsoft companies to designate their M2011-based airsoft pistols. Originaly made by Tokyo Marui, numerous other airsoft companies, most notably WE Model and KJWorks, have produced their own Hi-Capa models also based on the M2011.
Hi-Capa pistols may resemble real M2011-framed pistols made by STI International and Strayer-Voigt, Inc., but may also feature their own unique designs not found on any real weapon.
