Lacombe, Lucien (original French title Lacombe Lucien, without a comma) is a 1974 French war drama directed by Louis Malle. The plot is set in France in 1944. Lucien Lacombe (Pierre Blaise), a 17-year-old boy living in a small town, tries to join the Resistance unit but is turned down on grounds of age. Upon returning to the town, Lucien accidentally betrayes the Resistance leader. As a result, he is recruited by the French Gestapo (Carlingue). Lucien enjoys his new power and position until he falls in love with a Jewish girl France Horn (Aurore Clément).

The movie won the BAFTA award in 1975.

The following weapons were used in the film Lacombe, Lucien:

Pistols

Luger P08

The personnel of the French Gestapo, including Lucien Lacombe (Pierre Blaise), Henri Aubert (Pierre Decazes), Jean-Bernard de Voisin (Stéphane Bouy), Pierre Tonin (Jean Rougerie), and Hippolyte (Pierre Saintons), are mostly armed with Luger P08 pistols.

Ruby

What appears to be a Ruby pistol is seen on the table in the local headquarters of the French Gestapo.

Unidentified pistols

Several more handguns are seen on the table. In addition to a pair of Luger P08 pistols and the aforementioned Ruby, there are a large unknown pistol (1), a disassembled pistol (2) and a holster-stock for Mauser C96 in leather cover (3). The barrel of the disassembled pistol is in hands of Henri Aubert. The shape of the grip and the rear part of the slide of this pistol bear resemblance with MAS M1935S but this is a very vague guess.

Submachine Guns

MP40

Lucien Lacombe (Pierre Blaise), Hippolyte (Pierre Saintons), Miliciens (personnel of Milice, the paramilitary organization of the Vichy regime), and German soldiers use MP40 submachine guns in various scenes.

Sten Mk II

Several Maquisards are armed with Sten submachine guns during the night attack on the local headquarters of the French Gestapo. The Stens are seen unclear due to the darkness, but Mk II seems to be the best guess.

Rifles

Mauser Gewehr 1898

German soldiers and Miliciens are armed with Mauser Gewehr 1898 rifles. Many if not all of these rifles have tangent-leaf sights rather than Lange-Visier sights, so they can be identified as post-WWI G98M rework model.
