Pepperbox Revolver
Ivan Shatov (Vladimir Vdovichenkov ) owns a pepperbox revolver. It has the bar hammer that is common for percussion cap models, like Allen & Thurber Pepperbox , but the large nut of the fixing screw is a feature that can be seen on some models of Lefaucheux Pepperbox .

During the duel between Nikolay Stavrogin (Yuri Kolokolnikov ) and Artemy Gaganov (Pavel Trubiner ), both duelists use Russian M1854 Naval percussion cap pistols . Exactly the same pistols are used in the corresponding scene in the 2014 TV adaptation .
