Talk:Six (2017 TV Series)
Missing
Taliban fighters in Afghanistan had various AKs that I couldn't really ID.
One of the SEALs used a suppressed MP7A1 during the night raid.
Rip had a SIG P226 on his bedside table in Africa and later uses it against the militants attacking the school.
The African militants also had AKs. Spartan198 (talk) 08:25, 21 January 2017 (EST)
- Also, are there any better views of this shotgun:Pretty sure that is it a Mossberg Cruiser, but can't tell if it is a 500 or 590 without seeing the front end. --commando552 (talk) 05:43, 28 January 2017 (EST)
- It could be a Maverick as well, we can't even tell that from that image. StanTheMan (talk) 15:11, 28 January 2017 (EST)
SIG 516?
Any other scenes of this that actually shows that it's a SIG rifle and not a 416? Excalibur01 (talk) 11:55, 6 February 2017 (EST)
- I haven't actually watched this yet but flicked through the first one and found this shot which shows it pretty well:I think that Walton Goggins's character is the only one who has one. --commando552 (talk) 12:46, 6 February 2017 (EST)
One would think Walt, being the deuteragonist of the show, would be given one of the actual 416s instead of a stand-in. Spartan198 (talk) 17:21, 6 February 2017 (EST)
- Unless it is not a "stand in" but rather they intended his weapon to be a non non-416, either just to make it slightly different to everyone else's so he stood out slightly more, or to imply that he made a choice to use a different weapon out of personal preference. --commando552 (talk) 18:09, 6 February 2017 (EST)
- Or another possibility just occurred to me, it may be a case where SIG paid to feature their rifle more prominently, like the Beretta 92FSs in Lone Survivor. --commando552 (talk) 18:11, 6 February 2017 (EST)
Puzzling 416
This 416 kind of puzzles me.
The lower receiver specifically is usual. It seemingly has all the correct markings of a legit 416 lower, yet has a slanted magazine well as opposed to the 416's straight mag well. Now, the lower designed for the A5 model does have a slanted mag well and HK does make it in black as well, but it also has an ambi bolt catch which this one clearly lacks. I thought maybe it might be a P416 lower, which has similar pictogram selector markings, but the fencing around the mag release isn't right for one. These inconsistencies have me utterly stumped. Spartan198 (talk) 17:21, 6 February 2017 (EST)
- To me it looks like it could just be a standard lower. Here is a more side on view of the same guy with (I assume) the exact same gun, and it looks like a standard HK416 lower:There is a slight slope to the bottom of the standard HK416 mag well, and I think that the front-on angle in that first image is exacerbating it. If it was an A5 I imagine it would look even more sloped from this angle. --commando552 (talk) 18:38, 6 February 2017 (EST)
