The Red Ghost (Krasnyy prizrak) is a 2021 Russian war thriller directed by Andrey Bogatyrev. In December 1941 a small group of Soviet soldiers tries to break from the German encirclement. They are engaged in a hopeless battle with the enemy, but a mysterious person called "The Red Ghost" comes to help them.
The following weapons were used in the film The Red Ghost (Krasnyy prizrak):
One of the weapons of The Red Ghost (Aleksey Shevchenkov) is a Nagant M1895. Nagants are also used by Politruk (Vyacheslav Shikhaleev), Moryachok (Pavel Abramenkov) and a villager Kostya (Konstantin Simonov). In the final scene Hauptsturmführer Braun (Wolfgang Cerny) takes the revolver of killed Moryachok.
Walther P38
Walther P38 are widely used by German officers and soldiers, seen in hands of Hauptsturmführer Braun (Wolfgang Cerny), Hauptmann (Capt.) Klein (Paul Orlyanskiy), soldier Günther (Mikhail Melin) and others. The Red Ghost (Aleksey Shevchenkov) and Prostachyok (Yuriy Borisov) use captured P38s in various scenes. Only a single pistol is seen in a time, so possibly a single prop is reused throughout the film.
Luger P08
While Luger P08 pistol isn't used in the film, it is seen in hands of SS-Hauptsturmführer Braun (Wolfgang Cerny) on film posters. Judging by the barrel, a Denix replica is used.
A number of German soldiers and NCOs, notably Hauptsturmführer Braun (Wolfgang Cerny) and Unterfeldwebel Koch (Oleg Klyonov), carry MP38 submachine guns. Moryachok (Pavel Abramenkov) and Prostachyok (Yuriy Borisov) use captured MP38s.
MP40 (Denix)
The commander of German Gebirgsjager (mountain troops) unit Steiger (Yuriy Utkin) carries an MP40 submachine gun that is most likely a Denix non-firing replica. MP40s are also briefly seen in hands of several soldiers.
Many German soldiers, including Adler (German Segal), August (Ilya Kiporenko), Günther (Mikhail Melin), Bruno (Andrey Kurganov) and Wolf (Nikolay Orlovskiy), are armed with vz. 24 Czech Mauser rifles (Wehrmacht designation Gewehr 24(t)). Captured rifles are seen in hands of The Red Ghost (Aleksey Shevchenkov), Moryachok (Pavel Abramenkov), Prostachyok (Yuriy Borisov) and Kostya (Konstantin Simonov). The rifles lack grasping grooves on the stocks that is probably a result of post-war (or even modern) rework (for example, Yugoslav vz.23/24 rifles underwent such rework with using elements of Kar 98k stocks). Some rifles have hooded front sight that was issued to the late production series of Vz. 24.
Karabiner 98k
Karabiner 98k rifles are also used by many German soldiers.
Karabiner 98k Dummy
A rubber prop of Kar 98k rifle is used by Ninochka alias Krasnoarmeyka (Red Army woman) (Olga Stashkevich) in the close combat.
Shotguns
"Berdanka" Shotgun
For the most of the film, Ded (Vladimir Gostyukhin) is armed with a "Berdanka" shotgun. In the final scene the shotgun is used by Kostya (Konstantin Simonov).
Machine Guns
MG42
An MG42, anachronistic for December 1941, is used by the German unit. The machine gun is seen in hands of Oberschutze (a Private First Class rank in Waffen-SS) Schmidt (Andrey Myasnikov), soldier Bruno (Andrey Kurganov), and then the captured gun is used by Politruk (Vyacheslav Shikhaleev) and Moryachok (Pavel Abramenkov).
DP-27
While DP-27 machine gun isn't used in the film, it is seen in hands of Moryachok (Pavel Abramenkov) on a promotional image.
