Magnetized Charge Clam Mk III

Clam Magnetic Mine is a British WWII era sabotage device, designed as a small version of the Naval Limpet mine. Clam existed in three versions: Mk I with a stamped sheet metal casing, and Mk II and Mk III with a bakelite plastic casing. Most common version Mk III had the explosive charge of 8 oz (226 g) of TNT or Tetryl 55/45.

Clam mines were used by British commandos, and they were also supplied to European Resistance forces. A number of Clam mines were delivered to USSR under Lend-Lease and found usage among Soviet partisans. There is a claim that the Clam mine was used for the assassination of Generalkommissar Wilhelm Kube in Minsk in 1943.
