Marlin Model 336
The Marlin 336 was first offered in 1946 and was the only true competitor to the Winchester 1894. The 336 is tremendously popular to this day and has the advantage of side-ejection, allowing for the mounting of a scope. Aftermarket peep sights can also be mounted on the scope base.
