Don't Say a Word is a 2001 psychological thriller directed by Gary Fleder (Homefront) and based on the novel of the same name by Andrew Klavan. The film stars Michael Douglas as Dr. Nathan Conrad, a psychiatrist whose daughter is kidnapped by a group of men, who demand that he recovers a secret from the mind of Elisabeth Burrows (Brittany Murphy), a young traumatized woman who only briefly communicates with others.

Glock 17

Det. Sandra Cassidy (Jennifer Esposito) carries a Glock 17 as her sidearm throughout the film. Sanatorium guard Arnie (Lance Reddick) also carries a Glock 17 in the film, which Dr. Conrad (Michael Douglas) later takes from him. Koster later relieves Conrad of his Glock near the climax. NYPD officers also seem to use them as their sidearms in the film.
