Name the Hurricane "Mariya" (a literal translation of the original title Nazovite uragan "Mariyey") is a Soviet 1970 adventure war movie, directed by Vladimir Dovgan. During the Russian Civil war Red insurgents in Crimea are in dire need of weapons for operations against Gen. Wrangel's White Army. A cargo ship Askold is used to secretly deliver weapons. Red Commissar Mariya (Larisa Malevannaya) leads the operation.
The following weapons were used in the film Name the Hurricane "Mariya" (Nazovite uragan "Mariyey"):
Commissar Mariya (Larisa Malevannaya) carries a Nagant M1895 revolver. In one scene she gives the revolver to the navigator of Askold (Vladimir Skomarovsky). Nagants are also used by some minor characters.
A White Navy Michman (Ensign) (Sergey Dvoretskiy) is armed with an FN Model 1906 pistol (the character is credited as Michman but his shoulder marks match Senior Boatswain or Conductor NCO ranks).
Maxim M1910 machine guns are also mounted on Askold. There is a goof with these Maxims, as it is stated that Askold is armed with two machine guns, and there are seen two M1910s and one M1910/30.
