Smith & Wesson Model 27 / 28
At the beginning of the movie, Albert Ganz (James Remar ) uses a blued Smith & Wesson Model 27 / 28 N-frame revolver. It is most likely a Model 28, rather than the nicer, more expensive Model 27, though both are tapered-barrel .357 Magnum N-frame S&W revolvers. It could also be a Model 24 in .44 Special (also a tapered-barrel N-frame), but this is unlikely. The revolver shown used has a tapered barrel, and not the heavy 'bull' barrel of the Model 29 (Though the 'Mountain Gun' variant of the Model 29 has a tapered barrel, it was not available when the movie was filmed).
