Captain Mitch Nelson (Chris Hemsworth) and other Special Forces soldiers use M4A1 carbines with a variety of attachments.
AKM
Most of the Northern Alliance soldiers and the Taliban militants are armed with AKM rifles.

Some of the Northern Alliance soldiers and the Taliban fighters use AKMS rifles.

The Lee-Enfield No.1 Mk.III* is carried by a young Afghan Northern Alliance soldier named Najeeb (Arshia Mandavi).
M24A1 Sniper Weapon System
An M24A1 Sniper Weapon System in tan is also used by the Green Berets.

PKM
The PKM is used by both Taliban and Northern Alliance forces.
DShK
Several T-72 tanks have DShK heavy machine guns mounted atop them. The DShK heavy machine gun is also seen mounted on a Taliban technicals.
M240
An M240 GPMG is seen mounted on US Army humvees,
General Dynamics GAU-17/A
The GAU-17/A Miniguns are seen mainly on the U.S. Army Spec. Ops. MH-47 Chinook helicopters carrying the troops.
Other
M203 Grenade Launcher
Several U.S. Army Special Forces soldiers carry M203 Grenade Launchers mounted to their M4A1 carbines.
RPG-7
Other militants use RPG-7 launchers with PGO-7 sights. An RPG is also used by SFC Ben Milo (Trevante Rhodes).
F-1 hand grenade
A Soviet F-1 hand grenade is seen thrown in the direction of Mitch, who picks up and throws it back.
