Seems like Krnka to me, could be one of those shotgun conversions since I can't make out a rear sight in the image. Black Irish Paddy (talk) 14:16, 24 March 2018 (EDT)
- It's possible, thanks, but I'm still in doubt as the block lever would be seen, it is large, and this gun looks more like percussion cap musket (or rifled musket), as for me. I'll try to make more screenshots. Greg-Z (talk) 14:24, 24 March 2018 (EDT)
- Sorry, the only seconds when this gun is seen are already on page. I tend to think that this is a percussion cap gun, maybe (with great care) we can assume that this is Russian percussion cap rifled musket (vintovka) M1856. Krnka rifle was a conversion of M1856 so they have very similar outlook. Or it can be a hunting percussion cap musket with military style handguard; such guns were very popular on periphery of Russian Empire where people tend to be poorer and couldn't afford modern breach-loading hunting gun. Looks like a Musket variation in the first pic and a Carbine in the second, I'd bet on capture from the Ottomans. Just an interesting note. If only guns could talk. Black Irish Paddy (talk) 14:51, 25 March 2018 (EDT)
