Get Shorty is the 2017 television adaptation of the Elmore Leonard novel of the same name. The series, which premiered in August on EPIX, follows a low level mobster who finds a movie script during a hit and then tries to make a career change and get it made as a movie in Hollywood. Get Shorty had previously been adapted as a 1995 feature film starring John Travolta and Gene Hackman.
