Colt MK IV Series 80

Private Eye Ned Cruz (Antonio Banderas) uses an Colt MK IV Series 80 pistol as his sidearm throughout the film. The Colt MK IV Series 80 1911 on the film's poster is an enhanced model with a flat top slide with slanted serrations and a beavertail grip safety compared to the base model version used in the film.

Detective Poley (William Fichtner) keeps a nickel plated Colt Python with pearl grips as his sidearm. Julie Kerstal (Sienna Guillory) also briefly handles it. Ned Cruz uses Det. Poley's sidearm during the climax.

Smith & Wesson Model 10

Detectives Frizer (Thomas Kretschmann) and Skeres (Delroy Lindo) both uses snub-nosed Smith & Wesson Model 10 revolvers as their sidearms. Cruz (Antonio Banderas) is forced to handle Det. Frizer's Model 10 briefly, to get his fingerprints on the gun.

The detectives both reload their snub-nosed revolvers. Both actors use the guns' ejector rods to push out the empty .38 shell, instead of just vigorously shaking the guns. This is quite rare in Hollywood.

Unknown handgun

The Sikh bodyguards employed by Simon Kestral (Sam Elliott) are seen carrying compact semi-auto handguns in holsters. They could be Glock 19s, or propwise plastic or rubber casts of the real things, just that the holsters wouldn't look empty.
