The Possessed (Les Possédés)
|
The Possessed (original title Les Possédés) is a French 1988 screen adaptation of the famous novel Besy by Fyodor Dostoevsky, directed by Andrzej Wajda.
The following weapons were used in the film The Possessed (Les Possédés):
Handguns
Nagant 1877 Gendarmerie
Ivan Sjatov (Jerzy Radziwilowicz) owns a Nagant 1877 Gendarmerie double barreled pistol. Sjatov incorrectly calls it a revolver (like it was in the original novel).
Elgin Cutlass Pistol
Pyotr Verkhovensky (Jean-Philippe Écoffey) uses an Elgin Cutlass Pistol or some other similar looking gun to commit the murder.
Smith & Wesson No.3 Russian Model
Aleksey Kirillov (Laurent Malet) owns a Smith & Wesson No.3 Russian Model revolver.
Unidentified revolver
When Pyotr Verkhovensky (Jean-Philippe Écoffey) visits Kirillov in the end of the movie, he is armed with a revolver instead of previously used Cutlass Pistol. The revolver bears resemblance with a heavily anachronistic Nagant M1895 but it's seen too unclear to be identified.
Long Guns
Percussion cap muskets
In the scene of workers' riot mounted Cossacks carry percussion cap muskets.
Unidentified long guns
In one scene a pair of soldiers on the railroad station carry nondescript long guns with spike bayoners.
