It is a Glock 26 with a compensator, extended grip (so it can use 17 round full-size Glock magazines), and a mounting rail forward of the trigger guard. This gun is also drawn by a few Church Soldiers in the episode "A Good Man Goes To War".

The weapon is a replica, not a real firearm, as explained by a producer in 'Doctor Who Confidential'. It is a Tokyo Marui airsoft Hi-Capa 4.3 (Due to the dust cover being flush to the frame, similar props are used on the spin-off Torchwood).

Fabrique Nationale P90-TR

The Picatinny Rail version of the FN P90 is used by John Maynard Jefferson (Danny Webb) and various other crew members in the episodes The Impossible Planet and The Satan Pit. The P90s in the episode are fitted with blue flashlights mounted on the top rail and fitted with silencers. P90s can be seen in the armoury room of Torchwood Cardiff. Modified P90s can be seen used in The Doctors Daughter; in a number of scenes the props appear to use acetylene gas or similar to simulate firing for safety reasons. The Church soldiers in The Time of Angels carry weapons based on a P-90 with an M60 flash hider and the top rail extended over the magazine. A black version is used by the prison guards at the beginning of The Pandorica Opens. A version of this prop fitted with a rear pistol grip appears in A Good Man Goes To War.
