Talk:Stargate: Atlantis
Another new project of mine. I am not going to post made up prop guns that in the series fire energy and aren't either real guns or dressed up.
ronan's gun, power source
Hi, in your pictures from the studio it shows that the energy 'battery' on ronan's gun is rechargable. Your own comments say he must have an 'unlimited supply' of these clips. Surely if its rechargable he only needs a handful of clips and some way to charge them?
Its not a clip! MAGAZINE Jesus...
- Technically it's not a clip or a mag. It's more like a power cell since it's an energy weapon and as the title states, it's a power source. Excalibur01
There is the thought that he might have a limited supply or they might be rechargable but it's less likely that he has a limited supply since on Season 4 Episode "Travellers" one of the guards has a weapon of the same type a Sheperd states, "My friend has one of these. I always wondered where he got it from", leaving us with the fact that it might obviously be rechargable.
Clip gag
In the first episode of season 2 McKay tries to fire his Beretta, but when he pulls the trigger the clip falls out! While it's a hilarious visual gag, I'm pretty sure it is impossible because the clip can only be ejected intentionally. Can any one confirm this for me? Pravda616
- If his finger was big enough and wrapped around the trigger fully he could press the release on accident, or if it had a left handed release the base of his finger could have hit it. But I think it's funny how at the top of this discussion is an argument about proper usage of clip vs. mag, and then you say clip in this post. gg sir. - Gunmaster45
If it's a button release and you aren't careful, it is possible to accidentally press the release Excalibur01 14:34, 26 July 2010 (UTC)
Hah! I couldn't help it, I like to call a pistol mag a clip. Is that really SO wrong? Anyway thanks for the pointers. I guess McKay being such a noob, he really could hit the release by accident. Pravda616
It's wrong as in it's an incorrect term. A very common mistake anyone not informed about guns say all the time. Excalibur01 19:59, 29 July 2010 (UTC)
Well thank you, now that I have been informed, I'll never say it again. Happy? Pravda616

Woolsey(Robert Picardo)with G36K
Does anyone remember which episode Robert Picardo held the G36K? Excalibur01 18:34, 11 October 2010 (UTC)
- The picture of him with a G36 and Jewel Staite with a P90 is a publicity shot from Lost Tribe, episode 11 of season 5. Is the only time I remember him holding a weapon, apart from in the return part 2 where he had a beretta and P90 at some points. Commando552 18:58, 11 October 2010 (UTC)

Weird G36K alteration
Anyone know why they would paper over the scope gap like that?Temp89 (talk) 15:12, 30 May 2013 (EDT)
Maybe when someone handed him the rifle, they forgot to remove that little piece of cloth Excalibur01 (talk) 00:45, 31 May 2013 (EDT)
- It's not "papered over"; it's a rubber G36K normally used for stunt work and/or scenes filmed when the armorer wasn't on-set. You can also tell because the vent holes on the forearm are filled in. -MT2008 (talk) 22:55, 25 August 2014 (EDT)

Advanced Taser M26 entry
The entry for Advanced Taser M26 was deleted as far as October 2010 due to unclear reason. I restore it on Talk page as maybe it would be better to have it back on the page. Greg-Z (talk) 14:16, 14 March 2015 (EDT)
Advanced Taser M26
M26 Tasers are occasionally seen in use by the expedition, most notably in the season 2 episode "Critical Mass".
