NCIS: Naval Criminal Investigative Service
The following weapons can be seen in the television series NCIS:
SIG-Sauer P228
Gibbs, DiNozzo, McGee, and Ziva all carry SIG-Sauer P228s, and it seems to be NCIS standard issue. They carry the 9mm as in season three Ziva states she has a 9mm hole in her hat (which Tony put there in the last season). Gibbs owns two of these pistols and spends more time than the rest cleaning them, and Ziva sleeps with hers in hand. They all carry them in paddle holsters, except in season one and two when DiNozzo used a Jack leather shoulder holster.
The Sig P229 is the standard issue firearm for the secret service and other federal agencies.
Yes, though it is true NCIS changed their Issue firearm to the Sig 229s, Agents already issued a P228 have the option of keeping it. Gibbs, DiNozzo, McGee, and Ziva still carry their 228s, as do FBI Agent Fornell.
It is clear that Gibbs is carrying the P228 (Notice the longer/P228 style cocking serrations, as opposed to the P229.) http://www.cbs.com/primetime/ncis/photos/photos.php?v=22641&s=2&p=1
