The Spoils of Babylon (2014)

The Spoils of Babylon was an American comedy miniseries co-written by Matt Piedmont and Andrew Steele (Casa de mi Padre) and directed by Piedmont. A spoof of the epic all-star television miniseries made popular during the 1970s, this six part miniseries starred Tobey Maguire, Kristen Wiig, Tim Robbins, Jessica Alba, Val Kilmer, Haley Joel Osment, Michael Sheen, and Will Ferrell. The miniseries aired over five nights in early 2014 and garnered an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Miniseries or a Movie for Kristin Wiig. A sequel is planned, with Ferrell returning as author Eric Jonrosh.

This is also one of the only, if not THE only scene where characters drive a real car in the entire miniseries.

Trivia

A running joke throughout the miniseries involves the incredibly cheap special effects used. Model houses are used often, and model cars and airplanes are used almost exclusively, with visible guide rods and fishing wire. To illustrate a bullet in flight, similar effects are used.
