Handguns Colt Thunderer 1877 Billy the Kid (Emilio Estevez ) uses a Colt 1878 Thunderer as his main weapon throughout the film; as this was the revolver carried by the real Billy the Kid on his run.

Single Action Army "Artillery" The "Artillery" model of the Single Action Army revolver is the most common handgun used in the film, used by Billy, Doc Scurlock (Kiefer Sutherland ), Jose Chavez y Chavez (Lou Diamond Phillips ), Hendry William French (Alan Ruck ), and "Arkansas Dave" Rudabaugh (Christian Slater ).
