No. 74 ST Grenade
The No. 74 Anti-Tank Grenade S.T. "Sticky Bomb" was used by the Commonwealth Forces in WW2. The grenade used a time fuze with a 5 seconds delay. There are two variants of this grenade. The body of the MK. 1 grenade was made of glass, whereas the body of the MK. 2 was made of bakelit. The body was covered with a sock which was coated with bird lime. This helped to stick the grenade onto the desired target. The most visible difference between the models is how the handle is screwed into the body. The MK. 1 has outer threads on the body to screw the handle ONTO, whereas the MK. 2 has inner threads in the body to screw the handle INTO. This can be used for easy identificaton.
