MRS-4

Snake's main issued rifle is the "MRS-4". It is part of the fictional "AM-69" rile series in the game, and draws design influences from the FN FAL, the SR 88, and the Daewoo K2. It features a FN Para style stock, FN style side charging handle, cylindrical fore-arm with attached tactical torch, removable suppressor, and utilizes STANAG 5.56x45mm magazines.

AM-69

The guards at the Cuban prison camp are armed with "AM-69's". It is part of the fictional firearm series unique to this game which includes the "AM-69", "AM-69 AAS", and The AM MRS-4". They utilize features of the FN FAL such as the long front hand guard, Daewoo K2, and the SAR 80 to which they most closely resemble. This is a highly unusual choice, as the SAR 80 assault rifle is not used at all in America and the prison camp is not only American, but guarded by United States Marines.

Note that the chopper combines aspects of both the Mi-24D and the Mi-28 Havoc, such as the former's sizable transport bay and the latter's cockpits and its usage of the Shipunov.
