Off Limits is a 1988 murder mystery set during the time of the Vietnam War. Willem Dafoe and Gregory Hines co-star in the film as agents with the US Army's Criminal Investigations Division who are assigned to investigate a series of murders involving prostitutes who also happen to be young mothers. The film's cast also includes Fred Ward and Scott Glenn.

The M1911A1 is a primary weapon seen in the film and is used by the serial killer as well as Sergeant First Class Buck McGriff (Willem Dafoe), Colonel Dexter Armstrong (Scott Glenn) and Master Sergeant Dix (Fred Ward).

The M60 machine gun is seen mounted on military jeeps.

The M16 Rifle appears in the film when Sergeant First Class Albaby Perkins (Gregory Hines) is seen firing it.
