Rising Sun
Rising Sun is a 1993 thriller based on the bestselling novel of the same name written by Michael Crichton (the author of Jurassic Park). The film stars Wesley Snipes as an LAPD homicide detective who is called in to investigate the murder of a young woman in the boardroom of a powerful Japanese corporation based in Los Angeles. When he is paired with an LAPD liaison officer (Sean Connery) with a mysterious past, they both discover that the murder may be part of a conspiracy involving the corporation and the US government.

When possible intruders are seen outside his residence, Lt. Webster "Webb" Smith (Wesley Snipes) takes out a EAA Witness Elite Gold Team fitted with a scope to protect his family.

Capt. John Connor (Sean Connery) carries a snub-nosed Smith & Wesson Model 66 as his sidearm. He is seen with the revolver when he and Webb prepare to take on intruders who have come to his residence. Some of the Japanese bodyguards are also armed with the revolver.
Glock 17
Webb (Wesley Snipes) carries a Glock 17 chambered in 9mm as his regular sidearm.
Smith & Wesson 5906
Lt. Tom Graham (Harvey Keitel) carries a Smith & Wesson 5906 as his regular sidearm. A SWAT officer also is seen holding it.

Sen. John Morton (Ray Wise) takes from the drawer a Walther PPK/S.
Colt Single Action Army
In the opening credits, an Asian "Cowboy" in the karaoke video carries a nickel-plated Colt SAA.
Heckler & Koch MP5A3
LAPD SWAT officers carry Heckler & Koch MP5A3's fitted with weaponlights during the raid to arrest Eddie Sakamura (Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa).
Benelli M1
Another SWAT officer uses a Benelli M1 during the raid.
