Shockproof (1949) was directed by Douglas Sirk (Imitation of Life) and written by Helen Deutsch and Samuel Fuller (The Steel Helmet). The movie is an unusual yet entertaining admixture of film noir (Fuller) and matinee melodrama (Sirk).
