Shortcut templates

If you're thinking about creating a page for editing shortcuts, here's some templates I've created that should help --Ben41 02:32, 25 July 2012 (CDT):

ActorF = and

ActorM = and

Film War = and

Film Comedy = and

Film Crime Drama = , and

SS =

PCA = sorry zackman, i know this isn't the right place to talk to you, but I cannot find the right place, so here goes... I have made an edit and would like to upload a photograph to support it, but I cannot find any instructions on how to do it. how do I upload photographs to a page?

Ha!

Once again, great minds think alike. --Funkychinaman 10:35, 24 August 2012 (CDT)

S&W Model 1

I think he was on the right track changing this (but went abut it the wrong way), as the current image we have for the Model 1 is not a Model 1. If you look at the one in the history (which is a Model 1 first issue) you can see that there are quite a few differences. I'll sort it out with some better pictures of the first, second and third issues for reference to clear it up. --commando552 10:43, 24 August 2012 (CDT)

Apology accepted. I saw the mistake and just fixed it asap with the best S&W Model 1 pic I could find. You were right, I should have brought it up with one of the admins instead of just fixing it. --charterarmsoffduty 10:33, 25 August 2012 (CDT)

Deleting screenshots

Is there any way to delete a screenshot without actually have to access the page? A screenshot I've uploaded for the film The Rundown now causes the page to not load and I would like to delete that jpg and a few others. Here are the filenames: File:Rund.jpg File:Rundown.jpg File:Therundown.jpg

If you try to click on this files, you will be taken to a blank page with the following warning:

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 67108864 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 11908 bytes) in /home/imfdb/public_html/w/includes/media/Bitmap.php on line 213

If there's anything you can do, please help. Thanks --Ben41 23:01, 3 September 2012 (CDT)

Same usernames

I didn't think the system would allow a Gunmaster45 and a GunMaster45. It's not the same person, is it? If not, is it a good idea to allow a new user a name so close to an admin? --Funkychinaman (talk) 16:51, 2 November 2012 (EDT)

And our friend in England went through a slightly-tweak-an-admin-name phase at exactly this time last year. (here, here, here, and here. --Funkychinaman (talk) 17:10, 2 November 2012 (EDT)
Well, at least now we know it's possible to have the same name with different caps. Another user was complaining about not having entered his username correctly the first time and wanted another one. --Funkychinaman (talk) 19:52, 2 November 2012 (EDT)

Thank You Sir

Thank You Sir, I will do my best not to violate ToS of this wiki, BTW i already know much about wiki's as im a daily contributor to the GTA Wiki's Both The wikia and the wiki, Here is my account on the wiki: [1] And here is my account on the wikia [2] Thanks, Sincerely Faizan. --Faizanali (talk) 02:56, 20 November 2012 (EST)

Suggesting another admin

Bozitojugg3rn4ut is always around, knows the rules and does good work. I'm fairly sure I've suggested him before, but I'll do it again anyway. Evil Tim (talk) 04:02, 8 December 2012 (EST)

Kudos to You Zack! I am a lil bit surprised but also extremely grateful. And no, I don't have a forum account. - bozitojugg3rn4ut (talk) 14:59, 8 December 2012 (EST)
Password changed. And how come there was no Welcome message?! :DDD - bozitojugg3rn4ut (talk) 16:19, 8 December 2012 (EST)

S&W and Colt

I know some and I have a pretty good library which can help me find out other information. I'm also active on both a S&W and Colt forum which is another great source of information. What do you need and I can try to help out.--Jcordell (talk) 15:48, 11 December 2012 (EST)

I've done some work over there in the past regarding firearms. But I've never been on the project. I'll look it over. Thanks.--Jcordell (talk) 22:45, 11 December 2012 (EST)

"Genevievecornett‎"

I'd watch that one closely, there's a curious lack of anything specific to this site in their user description and it's a name / name spambot-like title. Evil Tim (talk) 02:36, 17 December 2012 (EST)

Tim was right, that was a spambot. I've banned and deleted the user and talk page. --Funkychinaman (talk) 02:38, 18 December 2012 (EST)

Avatars on Forum

Hey Zack. Just wanted to give you a reminder about the avatar-issue on the forums, as you asked. - bozitojugg3rn4ut (talk) 11:59, 8 January 2013 (EST)

Same person

Blackguinepig and Blackguineapig appear to be the same person. --Funkychinaman (talk) 18:51, 17 January 2013 (EST)

AKS

May this picture and information be added to the main AK-47 page? The picture is of what was officially designated as a Облегченный 7,62-мм автомат Калашникова со складным прикладом (АКС), translated to Lightweight 7.62 mm automatic Kalashnikov with a folding stock (AKS), and what is referred to in the West as an AK-47 Type III. Here is a picture from some old Russian manual or document showing the full stock version called simply Облегченный 7,62-мм автомат Калашникова (АК).

That A&B image? Ppht, I wish. I found it on the internet somewhere. That's was about 2 1/2 years ago, so I can't remember for the life of me where it came from.--PistolJunkie (talk) 16:44, 26 February 2013 (EST)

Questioning my change

(edit) sorry, I was fixing a change I was going to make. The original maker identified the gun as a Stainless Model 36. Since there is no Stainless 36, I changed it to a Model 60 (which would be the correct identifier for that model if made in SS). You should bring up your challenge to them, not me. :D As to what I as doing - I recently uploaded a correct S&W model 36 nickel plated 1st gen photo. The photo I had uploaded previously was mislabeled as a stainless Model 36. It was actually a photo of a Satin Stainless Model 60. At the time I took the first old photo, the owner (not me) quipped that it was a Stainless Model 60. I was not as educated about S&W model nomenclature as I am now, so I loaded the pic as such. But what he meant (and what I later learned myself) that he was merely describing the "Model 60" as "the stainless Model 36". Anyway, enough backstory about the pics, but that is why I'm fixing pages which used the Model 60 pic as a 'nickel' Model 36. And any page that utilizes the Model 60 description, I either put in a correct pic of a Model 60 or did minor grammar or spelling changes. I left the gun IDs to the creators of the pages.
