FIM-92A Stinger

The FIM-92A Stinger missile is unusual in that it can attack any enemy on the radar, even if they are off screen, by targeting them on the radar screen located in the upper right of the screen. The main use in game is to defeat a Hind helicopter boss. Can be used elsewhere, and is useful if you run out of grenades when fighting "Red Blaster". The Hind D that Snake fought against, alongside the tanks, according to the manual, also utilized Stingers itself, which made its defeat especially ironic.

The Rocky Mountain Arms Patriot Pistol was utilized by Big Boss in the final battle with him. Its appearance and comparison with The Boss's patriot from Metal Gear Solid 3, Metal Gear Solid 4, and Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker suggests that it was the same weapon.

Steyr AUG

The standard issue firearm of the Zanzibar Land forces, issued from 1998 onward, replacing the Enfield L85A1. They cannot be procured by the player, and they will be used on alert mode.

The graphics of the game do not make the make of the gun apparent, but the game's manual establishes that this is the weapon system they are seen with.

YakB-12.7 12.7mm gatling gun / GSh-23L 23mm cannon

This weapon system was utilized by the Hind boss. The game does not specify which of the two is being used, but the manual mentions that the Zanzibar Land Hinds utilized either the YakB or the GSh-23L.

52mm missile pod

The Hind boss utilized this weapons system against Snake. According to the manual, it utilized 132 rounds each for four types of missiles, including AT-2 Swatter anti-tank missiles, AT-6 Spiral anti-tank missiles, Sagar anti-tank missiles, and, ironically (considering how it was shot down), Stinger anti-aircraft missiles.
