The Expendables 2 is the 2012 sequel to 2010's The Expendables. The film was directed by Simon West (Con Air) and Sylvester Stallone returns as the leader of a team of mercenaries, who this time are tasked by the CIA to prevent a cache of plutonium from falling into the wrong hands. As in the original film, nearly all of the biggest names in action films from the past two decades make appearances in the sequel and in addition to expanded roles for Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger, Chuck Norris and Jean-Claude Van Damme also appear in this film.
The following firearms were used in the film The Expendables 2:
Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone) uses a pair of M1911A1 pistols as his sidearms in the film, likely the same Kimber Gold Combat II pistols that he wielded in the first film. In this film, the Kimbers' grips feature small "Expendable" eblems on both guns. The same symbol is also seen in Barney's toothpick knife.
Colt Single Action Army
As in the original film, Ross carries a customized Single Action Army. The revolver has a shortened barrel, compensator cuts and no front sight.
Makarov PM
A Nepalese guerrilla draws a Makarov PM when the Expendables attack his base.
Hale Ceasar (Terry Crews) carries a SIG-Sauer P226R as his sidearm in the film, and he most notably uses it during the shootout in the abandoned Soviet military base.
Walther P99
Jean Vilain (Jean-Claude Van Damme), leader of an Albanian criminal group known as the Sang, uses a Walther P99 with a gold-plated slide as his sidearm.
Submachine Guns
Heckler & Koch UMP
Several main characters, including Toll Road (Randy Couture), Gunnar Jensen (Dolph Lundgren), Maggie Chan (Nan Yu) and Mr. Church use Heckler & Koch UMP submachine guns. Various henchmen also use the UMP.
Nepalese guerrillas use AKM rifles with Norinco Type 56-style folding bayonets. A friendly Albanian villager is also armed with an AKM.
M4A1 Carbine
Billy "The Kid" Timmons (Liam Hemsworth) and Toll Road (Randy Couture) are shown holding M4A1 Carbines in movie posters. Toll Road also uses a M4A1 with a Heckler & Koch AG-C grenade launcher in the introduction, while Lee Christmas (Jason Statham) uses a M4A1 fitted with an M26 MASS.
FN SCAR-L
FN SCAR-L rifles with EOTech sights are used by some of the Sangs.
Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone) and Ying Yang (Jet Li) can be seen using the Noveske Rifleworks Diplomat with a Vltor VIS-1 monolithic upper receiver assembly. Most of the main characters use the Diplomat when they are searching for the crash site of a Chinese jet. These rifles are most likely the same weapons that ISS (Independent Studio Services) acquired for The Expendables. Gunnar Jensen (Dolph Lundgren) wields a Noveske on several occasions.
Hale Ceasar (Terry Crews) is seen using an AA-12 shotgun fitted with a weaponlight and a drum magazine as he did for the finale of the first movie. He later gives the weapon to "Trench" Mauser (Arnold Schwarzenegger) who uses it for the first portion of the airport shootout before running out of ammo.
Lee Christmas (Jason Statham) a M26 MASS attached to a M4A1 to shoot open a door during the opening rescue mission in Nepal.
Machine Guns
Browning M2
Lee Christmas (Jason Statham) and Ying Yang (Jet Li) can be seen manning Browning M2 machine guns mounted on Land Rovers in the opening gun battle.
PKM
PKM machine guns mounted on Mercedes-Benz G-Wagens and boats are used by the Nepalese guerrillas.
FN MAG
Christmas uses a FN MAG during a chase between the Expendables' seaplane and enemy airboats.
KPV Heavy Machine Gun
The KPV heavy machine gun, mounted on a ZPU-4 quad anti-aircraft mount, is used by Nepalese guerrillas and the Sangs.
Other
RPG-22
Hale Caesar is seen firing what appears to be a RPG-22 rocket launcher when he attacks the Nepalese guerrilla fortress.
Milkor MGL Mk 1L
Hale Caesar and Gunnar Jansen use Milkor MGL Mk 1L grenade launchers in several scenes. When used by Caesar it seems to be loaded with buckshot rounds, as there is no explosion or damage beyond the damage to the person hit, unlike when used by Gunnar.
