Miami Vice (2006)
Miami Vice is the 2006 film adaptation of the television series of the same name. Directed by Michael Mann (who also helped create the original series), the film stars Jamie Foxx as Tubbs and Colin Farrell as Crockett.
The following weapons were used in the film Miami Vice:
Handguns
Strayer Voight Infinity TIKI
Detective Sonny Crockett (Colin Farrell) carries a Strayer Voight Infinity TIKI 1911 as his sidearm which he can be seen loading up in several scenes. Some the major components of the pistol are reportedly constructed out of titanium (hence the Ti[titanium]-ki moniker). This model is no longer in SVI's catalog, but when new, it cost in the neighborhood of $6,000. It's an appropriate pistol for an undercover vice cop who poses as a well-to-do drug runner.
SIG-Sauer P220R
Ricardo Tubbs (Jamie Foxx) wields a SIG-Sauer P220R handgun as his sidearm. He most notably uses it during the standoff at the trailer park.
Springfield Armory XD
Gina Calabrese (Elizabeth Rodriguez) keeps as her sidearm a Springfield Armory XD Tactical (chambered in .45 ACP), which she is seen wiping off before the final firefight.
Smith & Wesson SW99
During the final confrontation, Isabella (Gong Li) takes a Smith & Wesson SW99 off one of the thugs who works for Yero (John Ortiz) and is seen holding while struggling with Crockett.
Smith & Wesson 457
During the first meeting some of Yero's men are armed with stainless Smith & Wesson 457s. Trudy (Naomie Harris) can be briefly seen with a blued S&W 457 .45 Cal pistol, which is probably her duty weapon.
Smith & Wesson Model 442 Airweight
Tubbs (Jamie Foxx) is seen checking a Smith & Wesson Model 442 Airweight while in Ciudad Del Este.
Smith & Wesson Model 640
One of Yero's henchmen pulls what appears to be a stainless Smith & Wesson Model 640 when Crockett threatens Yero with a grenade.
ASP 2000
Detective Sonny Crockett (Colin Farrell) can also be fleetingly seen in the extras DVD, carrying an ASP 2000 custom combat 9mm in an Fobus ankle holster. Colin Farrell is also seen placing the ASP in a Fobus paddle holster in a couple of training videos released online in early 2006.
Shotguns
Benelli M4 Super 90
Detective Ricardo Tubbs (Jamie Foxx) often uses a Benelli M4 Super 90 12 ga. semi-automatic shotgun as his primary weapon.
Remington 870
A Remington 870 can be seen in the market place as Yero's man moves through the crowd with the flash drive. When Tubbs (Jamie Foxx) and Crockett (Colin Farrell) raid the drug warehouse, one of the men inside attempts to grab a Remington 870 Police Combat Magnum with Folding Stock off a table before being stopped by the two detectives.
FN Tactical Police
During the final firefight, Switek (Domenick Lombardozzi) can be seen using a FN Tactical Police with an extending stock similar to an M4A1 carbine.
Rifles
Heckler & Koch G36C
Gina Calabrese's (Elizabeth Rodriguez) weapon is often a Heckler & Koch G36C. She most notably wields it at the trailer park.
Heckler & Koch HK91A2
During the final firefight, Coleman (Tom Towles) as well as several of his men use HK91A2 rifles, converted to full auto for the film.
Heckler & Koch HK91A3
During the final firefight Yero is armed with an HK91A3 rifle.
SIG SG 552
Sonny Crockett (Colin Farrell) can often be seen using a SIG SG 552 as his primary weapon.
M4A1 Carbine
After the raid on the trailer park, Castillo (Barry Shabaka Henley) can be seen holding an M4A1 carbine with an M68 Aimpoint scope and a Surefire M500A tactical flashlight.
Rocky Mountain Arms Patriot Pistol
During the final firefight, one of Yero's henchmen can be seen using a Rocky Mountain Arms Patriot Pistol fitted with a carbine stock and a C-More red-dot sight (tactical model with A2 iron sights).
ZM LR 300
A Z-M LR 300 can be seen carried by the British bodyguard when Crockett and Tubbs are searched against the vehicle before meeting Montoya (Luis Tosar) in Port Au Prince.
Micro Galil
One of Montoya's bodyguards is armed with a Micro Galil while he meets with Yero.
Sniper Rifles
Blaser R93
When Crockett and Tubbs first meet with Montoya a sniper is watching from a roof top with a Blaser R93 LRS2 sniper rifle.
Barrett M82
Coleman (Tom Towles) deploys snipers armed with Barrett M82 sniper rifles twice in the film, first to kill two undercover FBI Agents in a car during the opening drug deal, and just before the final firefight. When the snipers take out the undercover agents in the car, the bullet impacts to the interior of the FBI car were real as they were produced with live .50 BMG fire (the actors and FX added in post-production, according to Michael Mann's DVD commentary).
Savage 10FP
At one point in the film, one of Castillo's men can be seen with a Savage 10FP with a Choate Super Sniper Stock, fitted with a folding bipod.
Remington 700 PSS
The second police sniper providing counter sniping, is firing a Remington 700PSS.
Submachine Guns
Uzi
An Uzi is seen being carried by one of Yero's men as Crockett and Tubbs arrive to meet with Yero.
Heckler & Koch MP5A2
During the final firefight, one of Yero's (John Ortiz) henchmen can be seen firing a MP5A2.
Heckler & Koch MP7A1
Some of Yero's men can be seen carrying the Heckler & Koch MP7A1 under the jackets.
Other
Heckler & Koch HK69A1 Grenade Launcher
Another weapon that Tubbs (Jamie Foxx) uses is a Heckler & Koch HK69A1 Grenade Launcher with the M576 Buckshot round which he uses to the blow the lock off a door at the drug warehouse, and to blow a gaping hole in Yero's (John Ortiz) chest at the end of the film. In the commentary, Michael Mann notes he got the idea to use this weapon from a Vietnam vet who, like many American M79 Gunners/Grenadiers, took part in the practice of removing the plastic explosive and P.I.B.D. detonating mechanism (Composition A5and Point Initiating Base Detonating Fuze) out of the 40mm projectile's body and replaced it with buckshot after the U.S. Military tried finned steel flechettes and determined that their devastating effects on soft targets and proven reliability would be more effective than the new unreliable system despite its superior armor-piercing ability, effectively turning it a one-shot 1.2 Gauge shotgun.
M67 Hand Grenade
When Crockett (Colin Farrell) and Tubbs (Jamie Foxx) meet Yero (John Ortiz) for the first time, Crockett threatens the drug runners with an M67 hand grenade, which causes Yero's cronies to pull their guns out on him.
US M34 White Phosphorus Grenades
Crockett uses a pair of White Phosphorus grenades to burn and destroy two "go fast boats".
