The Dark Knight
The following guns were used in The Dark Knight
- I have this movie screencapped with high res pictures, I'll clean up the page. I've been working on it for a few days now but my lack of power has made it difficult. - Gunmaster45
WZ.83 Pallad D
One of the Joker's henchmen uses a 40mm grenade launcher to break a window and to fire a grappling hook on the bank's roof. They are later seen used once more by his men to fire a line between two buildings to take down a helicopter.
Beretta 92FS
A Beretta 92FS equipped with a suppressor is used by one of The Joker's henchmen "Dopey" during the bank heist to kill "Happy". An officer is also seen pointing his 92FS at The Joker when he takes another officer hostage with a shard of glass, demanding to get his one phone call.
Beretta 92FS Inox
A Beretta 92FS Inox is seen used by a Batman copycat against Scarecrow (Cillian Murphy). Several Beretta Inoxes are also seen used by Joker's henchmen at Gambol's (Michael Jai White) ambush.
Glock 17
The Joker's henchman in the bank heist used a Glock 17 to kill one of the other henchmen, he also used it in an attempt to kill the Joker, holding him at gun point before being hit by a bus. One of Lau's men is also seen wielding a Glock.
Glock 18
The Joker (Heath Ledger) uses a Glock 18 with a chrome slide, and extended 33 round magazine as one of his primary weapons in the film. He first uses it during the bank heist in the film's prolouge. He uses it to wound the Bank Manager, and kill his last remaining henchman (the bus driver). Later, during the armored car chase, he fires it briefly at the armored car protecting Harvey Dent, before switching to his Remington 870. When he burns his share of the mob's money, he briefly uses it to threaten The Chechen, before handing him over to be "fed to his pooches". When The Joker (crudely disguised as a nurse) visits Gotham Hospital, he uses this weapon a final time (fitted with a suppressor) to kill a cop investigating Harvey Dent's room before he speaks with Dent himself.
- It's actually not a Glock 18, it's just a 17 with a chrome slide converted to full auto and fitted with a 33 round mag. You can tell because Joker's Glock lacks a selector switch on the side. When I add screencaps, you'll see this more clearly. - Gunmaster45
- I noticed this as well. I wonder if it is one of the converted 17's that they used in Mr. & Mrs. Smith?
- Also worth noting (as a fun fact) is that his gun's reports have been overdubbed with a GE M134's report. The same occurs with his M76.
Walther P99
Lau preps his Walther P99 when the power goes down in his building.
Glock 26
During Harvey Dent's (Aaron Eckhart) introduction in a trial of Sal Maroni (Eric Roberts), the crime family leader, a witness in Maroni's payroll pulls out a Glock 26. Harvey Dent identifies the weapon as "Carbon fiber... 28 Caliber, made in China." Though, admittedly, this may be just movie-talk, and therefore not actually pertaining to the gun. The gun appears to be a modified Glock 26 to appear different in the movie.
Revolver ?
The Joker is seen wielding this unknown revolver at Harvey Dent's fund raiser.
GE M134 Mini Gun
Minigun used in Bruce's lab, apparently can fire different calibers from .45 to 9mm in the film
Jericho 941
Used by a gang member who takes Gambol's men hostage.
I can't find this gun in the movie. Gunner313
Sig Sauer P229
The sidearm used by Detective Stephens (Keith Szarabajka), and can be clearly seen after the Joker and his men fires at the mayor in the funeral scene.
Revolver 2 ?
This unknown revlover is seen wielded by Harvey Dent while interrogating the Joker's henchman.
Smith & Wesson Model 64
The revolver used by Harvey Dent/Two Face (Aaron Eckhart) is a Model 64 .38+P with 3 inch heavy Barrel. The revolver is given to Harvey by the Joker in the hospital. He uses it while going after his perceived "enemies."
M16A2
The M16A2 assault rifle is used by National Guard soldiers, and by some of the officers at the funeral.
M4A1 Carbine
M4A1 carbines are used by the SWAT teams throughout the film, and by some of the National Guard soldiers. The M4s of the SWAT team are equipped with reflex sights and foregrips.
Heckler & Koch MP5
Heckler & Koch MP5 submachine guns are used by the Gotham City SWAT team and the Hong Kong Police SDU team throughout the film. One MP5A2 is also carried by one of Lau's men in Hong Kong.
Remington Model 700PSS
A Gotham SWAT officer scouts open windows at the funeral with a Remington 700 PSS.
Blaser 93
These unknown sniper rifles are used by two police snipers as they prepare to engage the hostage takers from a roof top.
Can't say for sure, but they could be HK MSG-90's. Of course, the only limiting factor in those pictures is the muzzle.
- When the snipers are shooting at the "clowns", a better shot is shown and it is definately a Blaser 93.
M1 Garand
The Joker and his goons use this in an assassination attempt on the Mayor while disguised as the officers who carry out the 3 Volley salute during the funeral of Commissioner Loeb.
Chinese Type 69 RPG
A Chinese Type 69 copy of the RPG-7 is used by the Joker during the armored car chase scene. He uses it to destroy a police cruiser, but fails to hit the armored car protecting Harvey Dent. When Batman joins the chase, The Joker fires on the armored car again, only to hit the Tumbler inadvertently (he jumped over a civilian car to try to put himself between Dent and the Joker). The Tumbler damaged beyond viability, Batman is forced to switch to his secondary vehicle hidden within the Tumbler, the Batpod.
Skorpion SA
Used by Scarecrow's goons in The Dark Knight.
AKMSU
Used by Scarecrow's goon in The Dark Knight.
Uzi
Used by one of the vigilantes who attacks the meeting between Scarecrow and the Russians
Ruger Mini-14
A Ruger Mini 14 is used by one of the vigilantes who attacks the meeting between Scarecrow and the Russians; Batman twists the rifle's barrel before knocking the man out.
Smith & Wesson 5904
Lieutenant Gordon (Gary Oldman) uses this gun in the trailer. We see Gordon storming through a door, accompanied by a SWAT member. He wields this gun, but does not fire. It is notable as a 5904 by the blue finish.
Remington 870 Short barrel Shotgun
This gun is the Bank Manager's (William Fichtner). During the prologue, he uses it to kill one of the Joker's henchmen when they storm Gotham National Bank. He fires it several more times, at The Joker and his main henchmen, but hits neither. After the Bank Manager is shot, The Joker takes this shotgun, and uses it a few more times later in the film. When he crashes a party held by Bruce Wayne, he fires it into the air to gain the partygoer's attention, and proceeds to aim it at several people before Rachel Dawes is able to distract him. Before the armored car chase, he quickly uses it to kill a traffic cop that stops his semi trailer. During the chase, he fires it several times at Harvey Dent's armored car before switching to his Type 69 RPG.
Remington 870
A standard Remington 870 is seen in the hands of the Gotham Police Officers. A Remington 870 is also possibly seen in the hands of a vigilate.
Double Barrel Shotgun ?
A double barrel shotgun is seen wield by Joker's henchmen at the fund raiser. Bruce Wayne disarms the henchmen and disassembles the shotgun.
Mossberg 500
Mossberg 500's can be seen in the hands of the correctional officers on the ferry with the convicts.
Benelli M3 Super 90
Gordon takes the Joker down with a shotgun, equiped with a Surefire forend.
Smith & Wesson M76
This weapon is used by The Joker, during his faceoff against Batman in the streets of Gotham. He uses it to fire on several civilian cars while trying to provoke Batman. It is also noted that he nearly shoots himself in the foot with it while stumbling out of the overturned semi. He is also seen firing it in the trailer, and holding it menacingly.
MAC-11
This weapon is used by one of The Joker's henchmen. He fires it upon their break into Gotham National Bank to frighten people. He also hits a security guard in the head with it. He is killed by the Bank Manager, shortly after. In the Prewitt Building scene, other Mac 11's are seen taped to the hands of hostages that are "disguised" as clowns.
- Are you sure the Clown Hostages were equipped with real guns (that is, in the universe of the movie)? I'm fairly sure at least some of them were equipped with non-guns (that are supposed to be non-guns in the movie), though whether that was for budget or safety reasons, I don't know. It would seem strange to give hostages real guns, though I could see the reason as being to fool the cops.
- In the universe of the movie, the hostages could have been given empty magazines.
- That's true, but a lot of them also looked like rubber copies.
Beretta M12
Beretta M12 submachine guns are used by some of Joker's henchmen at Bruce Wayne's fund raiser for Harvey Dent.
Smith & Wesson Model 10
This pistol is seen in Hong Kong when the SDU team storms the building.
Mk 2 hand grenade
While meeting with the mob bosses Joker advises them to not "blow it out of proportion". Several greandes are also seen in the Joker's "grenade bag" during the robbery.
M26 hand grenade
Both Mk2 and M26 hand grenades can been seen in the Joker's jacket. As well as in The Joker's "grenade bag" in during the robbery.
M67 Hand Grenade
A M67 hand grenade is seen when the Joker is handing out the grenades during the robbery, especially Grumpy tells them to "hold on for dear life".
Batpod
A pair of heavy machine guns or autocannons of unknown caliber are mounted to Batman's (Christian Bale) Batpod.
- Looking at the Special Edition outer box, it appears Batman has 3 different guns on each side of his Batpod. He has a lower set of machine guns, which remind me of Browning M1919s, mainly due to the barrel shroud, the big autocannons in the middle, and the grappling hooks on top.
