Mini-Uzi

That might be a Mini-Uzi in the equipment on the bed but in the cap above as well as in the trailers I have seen she is clearly firing a Micro-Uzi. --Charon68 22:58, 25 January 2012 (GMT)

Promo image to prove it. --commando552 18:21, 25 January 2012 (CST)

The promo picture is a Micro, but the both picks on the main page seem to be Minis. Also, I've seen the movie and she and Aaron are both using the Mini.--Mandolin 18:49, 25 January 2012 (CST)

In the trailer it is a Micro as well:

Crappy screenshot, but if you look at the relationship between the front of the trigger guard and the barrel nut, there is no room for the handguard of a Mini. Also, you can just see the tip of the charging handle, which is too close to the front sight for a Mini. The barrel is longer than a regular Micro though, but from the promo images looks like this is a custom compensated barrel as cuts are visible and the muzzle flash is asymmetric. --commando552 19:15, 25 January 2012 (CST)
EDIT: Just looked into it, and apparently the ported barrels are the standard barrel on the Micro Uzi, which means that all the pictures on here are of the Uzi Pistol apart from this one:

Stupid question but...what are the red things stuck on the weapon? Any ideas? --Charon68 20:18, 25 January 2012 (CST)
Redelectrical tape, I think. It might be so you can tell your gun from your partner's, but I can't remember if both the Uzis had red tape. Alternativly, the tape is to write your name on.--Mandolin 06:54, 26 January 2012 (CST)

AllMoviePhoto

I got some screencaps from allmoviephoto.com which are, unlike my caps, incredebly clear. (Seriously, the film seems to be deliberatly shot to deny you semi-decent screengrabs.) Am I OK to use them on the page, or is there a copyright issue I don't know about? For what's probalby the only film whose characters use the Micro Uzi's stock, there's precious few clear shots of it. The film goes black-and-white with music and no sound in the shootout, which totaly ruins the cool factor.--Mandolin 15:25, 1 May 2012 (CDT)

Red Tape on the Uzis?

Does anyone have any idea why the uzis and a lot of other equipment they use in Barcelona have the red tape on them? I mean, I'm not a super spy/assassin or anything, but I just can't think of any practical reason for having bright, colorful tape on your weapons or gear like that. Travestytrav 12:49, 17 May 2012 (CDT)

There is red tape on some Glocks also but not on all. It could be to help the property dept. on location know what is a live gun and they forgot to remove the tape before filming. Once they do that it has to sty on for the rest of the shoot...--phoenixent 12:59, 17 May 2012 (CDT)

Thanks for answering (and asking!) the same question I had! :-) DamageW 01:43, 1 July 2012 (CDT)

Fasspistol

I frequent this site very often but i never registered until I saw a mistake(of course...). In the photo where michael fassbender's character is racking the slide of his sidearm, it is incorrectly listed as a glock 17. Though it is somewhat obscured, you can just make out the contour of the H&K USP's slide, along with the slanted trigger guard. I can't be certain as to the caliber but it is definitely the full size model. This is a great website & I look forward to contributing more often.
