If you look at the screencaps of the M16, you will see that it definitely has A1 handguards, which means it is an M16A1.

I though the M16 had Circular hand guards. In the game i mean.-Oliveira 16:14, 19 June 2009 (UTC)
Well, I actually think it's an A1 because of its handguard shape. The A2 handguards have a straight shape (length wise) while the A1 shape is almost like a triangle in how the bottom part of it is diagonal while the top is straight. Plus, the handguards on this gun are smooth, unlike the A2. Also, it definitely has an A1 reciever. Here's the screenshot:

Could you take a screenshot of the right side of the receiver? Since i can't see the forward assist in that picture above.-Oliveira 16:29, 19 June 2009 (UTC)
I know I had an in-game screenshot of the other side. It's not as good as this one, but its all I have. Let me see if I can find it. Gunman69 19:16, 19 June 2009 (UTC)
Dammit, I can't find it. I must have deleted it. :-(. I'm willing to bet that this is a regular M16, just by the fact that most GTA games ignore the small details in guns, but I'm going to go play the game right now and I'll let you know. Gunman69 19:30, 19 June 2009 (UTC)
I can't really tell. It's really hard to see (the game color is so dark and gritty, big contrast from Vice City). Gunman69 19:54, 19 June 2009 (UTC)
Try to take a screencap like the one above but showing the right side of the receiver. Also, the AK doesn't look like a AKM to me.-Oliveira 21:28, 19 June 2009 (UTC)
There might be some truth in that, but how do you mean?-Gunman69 06:49, 20 June 2009 (UTC)
The AK-47 doesn't have the Muzzle break of the AKM.-Oliveira 12:26, 20 June 2009 (UTC)
Yeah, I think you're right. Plus, the stock looks more like that of an AK-47. Thanks! -Gunman69 17:03, 20 June 2009 (UTC)

The 1911A1 in the game could be a Brazilian IMBEL 1911. They're chambered in 9mm and they have a capacity of 14 rounds. Though the game model does look like a single-stack. Hughjefender

Colt .45

Since in the game it's stated that the pistol is "nine" and has 12 round in the magazine, couldn't it be visually similar Tanfoglio?

Notice

Oddly for a game taking place in 2001 it looks more like its set in the 60s or 70s. But who care's its a classic now.
