The following weapons were used in the television series CSI: NY:
Handguns
Glock 17
Two of the CSIs use 2nd Generation Glock 17 pistols throughout the series, notably Det. Mac Taylor (Gary Sinise) and Det. Danny Messer (Carmine Giovinazzo) carry Glock 17s. Chief Brigham Sinclair (Mykelti Williamson) is seen with one in a few episodes. Some of the uniformed NYPD Officers, as well as random crooks and other characters use Glock 17s as well. In recent episodes, 3rd Generation Glock 17s begin to make appearances. The Glock Model 19 is the only Glock pistol authorized for carry by the NYPD for its officers. This error is often made by television shows and movies.
Ruger LCR (Light Compact Revolver)
The Ruger LCR is Flack's back up weapon in the episode "Cuckoo's Nest", drawing it while drunk on a subway, only to drop it when he points it at two gangsters, only for Terrence Davis (Nelly) to pick it up and use it to force them away from Flack.
SIG-Sauer P229
Miami Dade Police Department Lt. Horatio Caine (David Caruso) is seen with his SIG-Sauer P229 during the episode "Manhattan Manhunt", this episode being a crossover with CSI: Miami.
M1911A1
In the episode "Hostage", a bank robber named Ethan Scott (Elias Koteas) can be seen armed with an M1911A1 pistol as his main weapon.
Colt Commander
In the episodes "Down the Rabbit Hole" and "DOA for a Day", an assassin known as "Suspect X" (Kam Heskin) carries a Colt Commander with chrome finish, pearl grips, and a suppressor as her main weapon of choice. She notably uses it to kill a Congressman and later shoots a hostage in the Abdomen (exit wound was back to front as he was shot in the back) with it in "Down the Rabbit Hole", and uses it again in "DOA for a Day" notably when she gets into a gunfight with Mac in the climax of the episode, using it until she is wounded in the chest by a round from Mac's Glock 17.
Smith & Wesson Model 36
In the episode "Raising Shane", a robber uses a Smith & Wesson Model 36 to rob a bar and then fatally shoot the bartender, the whole time impersonating Dr. Sheldon Hawkes (Hill Harper). It is later discovered that this is a plot by Shane Casey (Edward Furlong) to force Detective Messer to exonerate his brother Ian Casey (Jeremy Nichols) of a similar crime. Shane himself uses the revolver to kill the robber and then brandishes it several times in confrontations with Mac and Messer, ultimately being talked into surrendering the weapon when Messer is able to prove that his brother was indeed guilty of his crime. In the episode "Cold Reveal", a grief-stricken relative of one of Clay Dobson (Joseph Lawrence)'s victims pulls a Model 36 on Mac when it's believed Mac murdered Dobson while trying to arrest him, but Mac is able to disarm him without a shot being fired when the man is overcome by grief and collapses. Detective Messer can also be seen carrying one as a backup weapon in an ankle holster in some episodes.
Smith & Wesson Model 60
In the episode "Commuted Sentences", a woman armed with a Smith & Wesson Model 60 with a shaved hammer is killed when an attacker grabs her from behind, turning the gun on her and forcing her to be shot with her own weapon, though the round goes through both her and her attacker, ricocheting off a stone pillar of a museum before landing near a metal railing where it's later discovered by Detectives Messer and Monroe.
Beretta 92FS
In the episode "Snow Day", some of the terrorists are armed with Beretta 92FS pistols as their weapons of choice. Mac takes one off a dead terrorist for his own use (as he left his Glock at his desk.), later unloading the pistol and emptying the chamber after the leader is killed. A blank-firing Beretta 92FS appears in the episode "Fare Game", identified as the murder weapon.
Smith & Wesson Model 66
In (Season 4, Episode 1) "Can You Hear Me Now", Morton Brite (Misha Collins) arms himself with a snub-nosed Smith & Wesson Model 66 with a 2" barrel.
Desert Eagle
In the Season 5 episode, "Pay Up", a Desert Eagle is used by a kidnapper named Simon Cade (Glenn Herman) to kill Det. Jessica Angell with, Cade is seen using it in the climax of the episode, dropping it after being wounded by Flack, and is then killed by Flack's Glock 19. Hawkes is seen holding one while he and Det. Monroe examine the .50AE round discovered at the crime scene. Another Desert Eagle is seen in the episode "Silent Night" being fired into a ballistics tank. In the Episode "Turbulence", Flack finds a Desert Eagle with Pearl Grips in a hotel room where an Air Marshall was murdered, the suspect using a stuffed animal to suppress the sound of the gunshot.
Luger P08
In the episode "Yahrezit" a Neo-Nazi has several Luger P08 pistols. One with a bayonet on the barrel is used by an ex-Nazi named Klaus Braun (Ed Asner) to commit a murder, by stabbing the victim with the bayonet and later shoots the victim with it, but the round doesn't penetrate deeply due to the gunpowder having degraded over the years.
Walther P38
In addition to the aforementioned Lugers, the Neo-Nazi also possesses a Walther P38.
Walther PPK
In the beginning of the episode "You Only Die Once", Det. Flack is seen carrying a Walther PPK, though in some shots, it becomes a Walther PP.
Browning Hi-Power
A Browning Hi-Power appears in the episode "Uncertainty Rules", being used by a thug. It is later picked up by James Roberts (Joe Reegan) and he holds it on Rufus Knox (Dominic Keating).
Colt Python
Rufus Knox uses a Colt Python in "Uncertainty Rules", firing it at Det. Taylor and James Roberts, but never scores a hit and runs out of ammo. Another is carried by a bank robber in the episode "Unusual Suspects", and is identified as a ".357" by Det. Bonasera.
Smith & Wesson Model 34
A Smith & Wesson Model 34 appears in the episode "Pot of Gold", and is identified as the murder weapon.
Smith & Wesson 3913 "Ladysmith"
In the episodes "Cuckoo's Nest" and "Manhattanhenge", a serial killer named Hollis Eckhart (Skeet Ulrich) uses a Smith & Wesson 3913 "Ladysmith" as his weapon of choice, using it in "Cuckoo's Nest" to kill one of his victims that attempts to escape, and later uses it twice in "Manhattanhenge", using it to pistol whip a store owner and later uses it in a standoff with Det. Taylor and Det. Flack, threatening to shoot himself with it, but drops it at the pleads of Det. Taylor and his own vision of his late wife, Calliope (Josie Davis).
Heckler & Koch USP
In the episode "To What End?" a man in a clown costume uses an H&K USP to shoot a man in a bakery and leaves the gun behind in the crime scene.
Rifles
M4A1 Carbine
Some N.Y.P.D. ESU officers can be seen armed with M4A1 carbines as well as the typical H&K MP5A3s. Det. Bonasera uses one with an M68 Aimpoint Scope and Surefire M900 Weaponlight foregrip in the episode "Snow Day", but never fires it.
AKM
In the episode "Snow Day", drug dealers (later revealed to be ex-IRA terrorists) can be seen engaging N.Y.P.D. SWAT officers in a shootout armed with AKM assault rifles, wounding one officer in the shoulder during the firefight. They can again be seen armed with them when they take Messer and Adam Ross (A.J. Buckley) hostage while they're working the cime scene, using them to beat Messer several times. AKMs are later seen in the episode "Pay Up", first in the hands of a sniper who fires at Mac, Messer, and Flack, but fails to hit them. Another AKM is seen pointed at Connor Dunbrook in a video to his father stating demands.
M16A1
In the episode "Charge of This Post", in Mac's flashbacks to his days in the Marine Corps, he and many Marines are seen armed with M16A1 rifles with A2 style handguards.
Heckler & Koch G36C
During a video conference in the episode "Hostage", a Heckler & Koch G36C can be seen on a wall behind Detective Bonasera, fitted with a silencer and RIS foregrip.
Remington Model 700P
In the episode "Hostage", N.Y.P.D. SWAT snipers can be seen armed with Remington Model 700P sniper rifles during the hostage crisis at the bank.
Submachine Guns
Heckler & Koch MP5K
In the episode "Snow Day", terrorists can be seen armed with Heckler & Koch MP5Ks during the initial SWAT raid and again when attempting to steal back their drugs and weapons from the crime lab, one of them accidentally shooting one of his own comrades with one while pursuing Mac. Det. Dr. Sheldon Hawkes (Hill Harper) commandeers one from a terrorist and uses it for the remainder of the episode. Some of the MP5Ks seen in the episode (usually in non-firing scenes) are Tokyo Marui plastic airsoft replicas with the Navy-style lower receiver; the real MP5Ks in the episode (which fire blanks) are the ones that have the SEF lower receivers.
Steyr SPP
In the final Season 5 episode "Pay Up", and the Season 6 episode "Epilogue", a gang of extortionists use a Steyr SPP with a TMP auto sear to shoot up several crowded areas, including a bar in which the CSI Team was in, killing only a bartender and wounding Det. Messer. It is even identified as a Steyr SPP by Det. Taylor, commenting on how it wasn't very accurate.
TDI Vector
In the episode "Hostage", a TDI Vector is identified as the weapon used to kill the manager of the bank, the victim having two bullets through the same entry wound due to the weapon's unique recoil reduction system. The one shown also had a tactical light mounted in the weapon above the barrel.
Machine Guns
M240B Machine Gun
In one episode, a U.S. Coast Guard patrol boat armed with a bow-mounted M240B machine gun is seen among Coast Guard and N.Y.P.D. air units and surface vessels sent to intercept a terrorist diver attempting to blow up a helipad on the bank of the Hudson river where a foreign dignitary is arriving.
Shotguns
Ithaca 37
In the episode "Silent Night", an Ithaca 37 can be seen being fired into a ballistics tank, and is called an "M37" by Detective Mac Taylor (Gary Sinise). In the episode "Boo", an Ithaca 37 is identified as a murder weapon and can be shown being test-fired during the investigation.
Remington 870
In the episode "Snow Day", Detective Flack can be seen armed with a Remington 870 shotgun fitted with a Surefire dedicated forend weaponlight and spare shotshell holder on the side of the receiver, using it to kill a terrorist during the opening warehouse raid and again at the end of the episode when arresting the other terrorists at the crime lab. He later is seen with one in the episode "Vacation Getaway". In the recent crossover episode, "Hammer Down", Dr. Ray Langston (Laurence Fishburne) uses a Remington 870 with the same setup in the climax of the episode, although this changes to a Mossberg 590 in a continuity error. Interestingly, Langston's gun has no weaponlight mounted in the foregrip.
Mossberg 590
In a continuity error, Dr. Ray Langston's (Laurence Fishburne) Remington 870 changes to a Mossberg 590 in the climax of "Hammer Down".
Mossberg 500
In the episode "Cuckoo's Nest", in a flashback a deranged man is seen using a Mossberg 500 with the stock sawn-off to kill his girlfriend, and then uses it to shoot up the other employees at the City Surveyor's Office, including the wife of serial killer Hollis Eckhardt (Skeet Ulrich), Calliope (Josie Davis) wounding Eckhardt in the face with it in the process.
Heavy Weapons
Cobray CM203 Launcher
In the episode "Heroes", several U.S. Marines can be seen armed with M16A2 rifles fitted with Cobray CM203 Launchers (standing in for the M203) during a tactical demonstration during Fleet Week.
Barrett M82A1
Along with large amounts of cocaine, a Barrett M82A1 sniper rifle is also among the illegal weapons found in a warehouse use by terrorists in the episode "Snow Day", though thankfully was not used during the raid. The terrorists later attempt to steal it and the other weapons and drugs back when they raid the crime lab disguised as utility workers during a fake gas leak, using the powerful rifle to shoot open the vault containing their cocaine.
