Steyr GB

General Aleksandr Kodoroff (Aleksandr Baluev) uses a Steyr GB pistol. Hard to see in the pic here, but in the later scene where Kodoroff climbs into the back of the truck carrying the nuclear warheads, he pulls his GB and gives a very clear view of it from the side.

Unknown Grenade Launcher

This unknown weapon is seen being used by the driver of the truck. He uses it twice, once to blow up a Russian Border Patrol, the again to shoot at Devoe’s chopper, but he shoots the floor of his truck, which blows up, killing him.

Glock 17

The Glock 17 is seen being used by a security team to kill Devoe’s friend. Several NYC police officers use them as well, but due to the never halting camera movements, I couldn’t get a clear picture.

M16A1

Several New York National Guard troops show up to aid in the finding of the bomb, carrying very old M16A1s. This is a correct prop for the National Guard Troops given the time this movie was made. M16A1s were being issued to National Guard Infantry units as late as 2002. There are probably some Guard units that still have them today.

A Special Forces sniper saves Devoe’s (George Clooney) ass with a shot to Kodoroff’s (Aleksandr Baluyev) chest with his M24 sniper rifle. The weapon also has a custom camo paintjob (albeit fading) and a fluted barrel.
