Nice, but where's the trigger?

This article or section is incomplete. You can help IMFDB by expanding it.

The following weapons appear in the anime Trigun:

Vash's Weapons

Vash's Revolver

A silver plated double-action, .45 Long Colt revolver carried by Vash the Stampede. It resembles a Mateba Autorevolver, a revolver with a "upside down" barrel which is aligned to the bottom of the cylinder instead of the top, but is longer and heavier. It has a top-break auto-eject reloading, a feature found in 19th century revolvers. According to Vash the gun was very inaccurate until it was improved by a gunsmith in Episode 3. He keeps the revolver because it acts as the catalyst needed to activate his "Angel Arm" weapon. The firearm appears to be styled after the Colt Anaconda and the Schofield Model 3 as well as the Mateba. Vash's twin brother Knives carries a black version of the Revolver, and is revealed to have created both weapons for the sole purpose of eliminating mankind.

The internal operation is somewhat unclear. The barrel mates up with the lowest chamber of the cylinder, but when fired, the hammer does not appear to be striking the round in that chamber. There may be an internal mechanism that redirects the force of the hammer down to the correct round. It appears to be styled in this way to keep the gun looking more conventional, instead of having the more unusual-looking hammers of the Mateba handguns.

DA38 Derringer

Insurance agent Meryl Stryfe has around 50 BTJ DA38 Derringers lining the inside of her coat. As they are single shots she drops each gun after she fires it and gets a new one from her coat

Milly's "stun-gun"

Insurance agent Milly Thompson carries with her a large gatling-style concussion gun, usually concealed under her coat. It fires long projectiles which unfold into 4-armed crosses which have enough force to incapacitate people, or flip over trucks.

Nicholas D. Wolfwood's "Punisher"

A massive cross-shaped gun carried by priest Nicholas D. Wolfwood. It contains a machine gun in the long section of the "cross", a rocket launcher in the top, and a gun rack containing multiple handguns in one of the short arms of the "cross". The other short arm probably contains the ammunition for the machine gun or rocket launcher of the cross gun. Wolfwood used the "Punisher" till his death. Vash takes his gun as an act of honor, and uses it fighting against Knives.

Machine Gun

The long part of the "cross" is the rapid-fire machine gun of the Punisher. The caliber of the bullets is unknown, but apparently they are powerful enough to destroy most armored targets. In Trigun Maximum, the bullets were clearly seen as the typical bottlenecked rifle bullets one would imagine, but their sheer size seems fitting to call it a .50 BMG caliber.

Rocket Launcher

The shorter part of the Punisher is the rocket launcher.

Nicholas D. Wolfwood's Custom M1911

Nicholas Wolfwood's handguns are fictional weapons called "Grader Single Hand 2043." According to markings on the weapon, it is a .45ACP handgun, manufactured by a "Grader Arms Co.," based out of July City. A distinguishing feature of this weapon is the secondary, trigger-like lever that forms the front of the trigger-guard. This lever apparently primes the action so that the user can load a magazine with one hand, then cock the gun without the use of that hand. This is primarily useful if you were intending, like Wolfwood, to dual-wield this handgun; you could place both weapons in one hand, use the other hand to insert two magazines John Woo style, then grip the guns normally and prime both at the same time. (Nicholas seems to prefer the "carry a whole mess of them at once inside his Punisher Cross gun and just throw them away when they are empty" method, which is bound to get expensive.)

Unidentified Pistol

The leader of the Badlands Gang uses an unidentified pistol, it appears to be based off the Wildey Magnum or AutoMag pistols (Note: In the Manga, Neon used a Single Action Army instead of this RugerAutomagWildey thing.)

Micro Uzi, Ak-47, PPSh-41

These weapons are often used by thugs

(The PPSh is in the background, barely visible but the unique barrel shroud is in plain sight. Like many guns in this anime however its very "modern" looking and differs from its real life counterpart.)
