Call of Duty 2
Nice, but where's the trigger? This article or section is incomplete. You can help IMFDB by expanding it. |
The following weapons appear in the video game Call of Duty 2:
Soviet Union
Tokarev TT-33
Standard sidearm of the Soviet forces during the first few levels. Has a capacity of 8 rounds.
Mosin Nagant
The Mosin Nagant is one of the best weapons in the game. Deals extremely high damage but the slow (bolt-action) rate of fire and lack of ammo supply can be a problem. The scoped variant is used by the Russian troops as a sniper rifle. Interestingly, the sniper version has a different reload animation: it must be reloaded one bullet at a time instead of the "normal" weapon's stripper clip, probably because the scope would interfere with the clip insertion.
Tokarev SVT-40 Rifle
Semi-Automatic Service rifle used by the soviets.
PPSh-41
Standard Soviet submachine gun. Appears with the 71-round drum magazine. The recoil of the gun is controllable, but has a short range. A very popular weapon on multiplayer servers due to its high ammo capacity and effectiveness in close quarters.
PPS-42
The PPS-42, early model of PPS-43 appears with 35-round box magazines in Call Of Duty 2. The low rate of fire makes it easier to control, but this could be a disadvantage at close range.
RGD-33 stick grenade
Default grenade for the Soviet Union. Appears only a few times in the Russian levels.
Germany
Luger P08
Standard sidearm of the German Army. Holds 8 rounds and is the default pistol of the Germans in the multiplayer.
Karabiner 98k
The bolt-action Kar98k is the standard German service rifle. Holds 5 rounds and is very accurate even at large distances. German snipers use the scoped version.
Gewehr 43
German semi-automatic Service Rifle, fitted with the 10 round box magazine. The Scoped Variant is only availible in single-player.
MP40
The MP40 submachine gun appears with a 32-round magazine, high recoil and poor range. It is relatively effective in CQC but hitting the target from a distance can be a problem.
Sturmgewehr 44
The STG-44 is a powerful German assault rifle. Hold 30-rounds in the magazine. Appears in the game as the "MP44".
Panzerschreck
The only mobile anti-tank weapon in the game. Can be used to take out Tiger Tanks and other German vehicles.
MG42
Although not a weapon that can be carried around, the MG42 makes several appearances as the player progresses throughout the game.
Model 24 Stielhandgranate
The standard hand grenade of the Axis forces.
United Kingdom
Webley Mk. VI
Available sidearm of the British forces. It is the most powerful sidearm in the game but holds only 6 bullets in the cylinder and its reload is pretty slow too.
Lee-Enfield No.4 Mk.I
The British service rifle. Called simply "Lee-Enfield", this rifle is better than the Kar98k because it holds 10 rounds. A scoped version can also be found and used as a sniper rifle in single player and multiplayer modes.
Sten
A very accurate submachine gun for the U.K. forces. Holds 32 rounds just like the MP40.
Bren gun
Main support for the U.K. The Bren light machine gun is surprisingly similar to the Type 99 of Call of Duty World at War, only manufactured by different factions.
Sticky Bomb
Appears only once in the Russian level where the player has to destroy several Panzer Tanks.
Mills Bomb
The hand grenade used by British forces. Performs just like any other grenade in the game.
United States
M1911A1
Standard sidearm of the American Forces throughout the game.
M1 Garand
The service rifle of the American forces. Holds only 8 bullets and cannot be reloaded if there are unfired rounds in it.
M1 Carbine
Used by American soldiers in the game. Holds 15 rounds in the magazine.
M1903A3 Springfield
The American Army Service Rifle (unscoped) and Sniper variant favoured by American snipers. This is a M1903A3 because of the Front sight, distinguishing it form an A4.
Browning Automatic Rifle
Used by the American support gunners. Referred to as "BAR".
M1A1 Thompson
The Thompson M1A1 is used by American soldiers such as Sgt. Randall. More powerful than the MP40 but holds only 20 rounds, even though it's modeled with a 30 round magazine.
M3 "Grease Gun"
Available only in the online multiplayer mode.
Browning M1919
Known as the ".30 cal", this machine gun is mounted in houses that Americans have captured and need to hold.
Winchester Model 1897
Pump-action shotgun used by American soldiers. Available to all factions in multiplayer. Erroneously holds 6 shells instead of the real weapon's 5-round capacity.
Mk 2 hand grenade
The standard hand grenade of the Americans in the game.
M18 smoke grenade
Used to go past machine guns.
