Talk:I Am Legend
More info on the "Law Enforcement Carbine"
Propstore of London also has this picture of the M4gery he carries:
You can clearly see it says "Law Enforcement Carbine" on the receiver. I went to Colt's web site, looked up this model, found http://www.colt.com/law/lecarbine.asp, and voila!
- What make of rail system is that? The page notes it as a KAC, but from the picture above, it doesn't look like it. Spartan198 04:54, 25 May 2009 (UTC) Spartan198
The entry in the Law Crabine says "according to the Propstore of London, the weapon was modified to fire automatic for the film." but i could swear to god Will Smith always fired the carbine Semi-automaticly, neither that or semi-auto sound was dubbed in --Yocapo32 15:55, 8 May 2010 (UTC)
Finished
Just got done revamping the page, and I apologize for the long delay. How does it look?--Alienqueen11 03:51, 25 May 2009 (UTC)
- Looks good. Spartan198 04:59, 25 May 2009 (UTC) Spartan198
Thanks, the unknown rifle could possibly be a bullpup shotgun of some type, but I'm also thinking it could be one of the Calico rifles.--Alienqueen11 05:09, 25 May 2009 (UTC)
I'm going by the forward hand grip, which looks similar to a Mossberg 590 bullpup.

Neville's ACOG
Wasn't the TA31F model designed and calibrated specifically for the M16A4 rifle? Or am I incorrect? Spartan198 11:39, 25 May 2009 (UTC) Spartan198
- It can be used on M4-systems as well. -The Winchester
- Yeah, I found that out a couple weeks after I made this inquiry, while I was trying to identify the model of ACOG on the game case for Ghost Recon: Island Thunder. Spartan198 10:28, 5 July 2009 (UTC)
- The AR-15 carbine I fired on my 30th birthday was equipped with a TA31F-model ACOG scope, and it was pretty accurate. So far as I know, most ACOG models are designed to be compatible with all variants of the AR-15 & M16-series rifles and carbines, though Trijicon also manufactures ACOG models calibrated for other calibers, such as 7.62x51mm NATO. Similarity to The Omega Man
I just noticed that this film has several similarities to the 1971 Charlton Heston film The Omega Man, particularly the overall plot (a lone survivor trying to survive in a world overrun with zombie-esque monsters), and the name of the main protagonist. I wonder if this was intentional or just coincidental? Orca1 9904 23:45, 12 May 2010 (UT
It's intentional actually. I Am Legend is a novel written by Richard Matheson, and there is quite a few films based on it including this movie, The Omega Man, The Last Man on Earth, and I Am Omega.--Alienqueen11 00:12, 13 May 2010 (UTC)
In the credits of I Am Legend it says the story is based on the screenplay of The Omega Man.--Jcordell 14:56, 2 July 2010 (UTC)
So, just food for thought. I don't think this can really be called a "zombie film." when you think about it, the antagonists are more mutants than they are zombies...they don't appear to eat human flesh, are more sentient than your average zombie, and don't shuffle around like old people heading to Wendy's at 330 in the afternoon for dinner.--Burgershot621 01:25, 19 February 2011 (UTC)
In the original novel they were vampires. Ironically it was the original novel that George Romero used as inspiration for his zombies in Night Of The Living Dead. --cool-breeze 07:33, 11 October 2011 (CDT)
