That unregistered user that wrote in here that it was the "Sig version" of the Walther PPK (none exsists), but i think he's right. It appears to be a SIG P232. - Flying Dane

Glocks or Smith and Wesson Sigmas

I know it is tough to tell the difference but Will Smiths pistols look like Smith and Wesson Sigmas not Glocks. They are virtually identical but the Sigma comes with a Stainless Steel slide standard and cost half as much as a glock. A good call if you are over budget on a film.

No, they are definitely Glocks. When Syd tosses Marcus' gun on the land mine at the end, you clearly see the "G" on the grip. The Sigma may be a Glock imitation, but there are too many differences to be mistaken.

It's a Michael Bay movie. You honestly think he had trouble with the budget?
Could I please get some clarity about this Glock issue. Well first of all definately not Sigma's. I collect S&W firearms and in fact even if you look at them in the passing they don't look anything like Glocks. The rounded trigger guards, different grip shape, etc. etc. Even though S&W did lose the law suit and had to pay. :)

The Glock issue I have is with the inconsistency with them being Glock 17's and then Glock 17 & Glock 19 combo. In fact some user chastised me for modify his post claiming one is a Glock 17 1st generation and the other a Glock 17 2nd generation. I'm not completely incompetent when it comes to firearms. In fact it's not a hobby but a obsession. Never .... wait for it..... Never has the generations shortened the gun so that the Glock 17 goes from a full-size to a compact handgun. And it is not like Michael Bay to make continuity erros like that with his main character. In fact the very first picture on this page that load of bull is sold to us. Then later on in the same Glock 17 block it is claimed that "sydney" has his (being Will Smith) Glock 19. So can we get some clarity on this. I strongly believe it is a Glock 17 and Glock 19 combo and not some made up 2nd generation "compact" of the 17.

It's funny you say that it's not like Michael Bay to make continuity errors on main characters when there is a massive one at the end of the film, Burnett's SIG becomes a Glock. --cool-breeze 02:05, 1 March 2011 (UTC)

What kind of finish?

I can't seem to tell exactly what kind of finish was used on Will Smith's two-tone Glock 17s.

Tutone black polymer frame and chromed steel slides.

I originally thought it was Caspian Stainless Steel slides but if you go look at the pictures of those Caspian slides you would see they don't have the detail on the slide that Glock has on there slides. The "9x19", "G17" ect. on them. So definately chromed slides. Not shiny (for lack of a better word) enough for nickel plating. Personally I enjoy a good hard chromed slide.

Not a Raging Bull

The big revolver that the KKK guy is holding is not a Taurus Raging Bull. It's a Smith & Wesson Performance Center 629 WB - http://www.smith-wesson.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=11101&storeId=10001&productId=65209&langId=-1&parent_category_rn=15714&isFirearm=Y

The Taurus lacks the Weaver rail on the top, and it does not have the scallop down the side in front of the ejector rod. You would also be able to see at least one of the 'L's from 'Raging Bull' on the side from the picture that you have.

I concur. The giveaway is the Cylinder pin area. The S&W shots from the site are identical to the gun in the screencaps. The Taurus doesn't look like that, in that particular area. We should change the gun ID for that section. MoviePropMaster2008

The size of the screencaps

I don't want to offend Orca, but the screencaps are way too small. I think the screencaps should go back to 500px.-Oliveira 20:56, 5 June 2009 (UTC)

Done. I agree with you, I don't like seeing huge screencaps either, but I don't want them to be so small, you can hardly see the gun because not everyone wants to click on the pictures to seee the gun, so in this case, I think the images should be atleast 500px, not too big or small.--Alienqueen11 21:12, 5 June 2009 (UTC)

Thank you Alienqueen. I hope we didn't piss Orca off.-Oliveira 21:17, 5 June 2009 (UTC)
You most certainly did! I do -NOT- appreciate people tampering with my articles without at least asking my permission! Orca1 9904 21:28, 5 June 2009 (UTC)
Well, this is a wiki and that means any one can edit it. I also think we should resolve this like they do in wikipedia so we can avoid a edit war. We should vote if the images stay 500px or 400px.-Oliveira 21:40, 5 June 2009 (UTC)
Sorry Orca, I got so used to seeing how big Gunmaster45 made his screengrabs that I wasn't used to seeing 400px anymore, I'll change them back myself if you want, but I want to let you know that even though I made the shots bigger, I left all the new text you put in on them. Let me know what you want to do--Alienqueen11 02:44, 6 June 2009 (UTC)

I'm moving these here until there is a still I can find that's not wallpaper. --Ben41 09:54, 16 May 2010 (UTC)

Sig P230 or P232

I think Tapia's gun is an older P230, from the shape of the sights and cocking serations, and the bottom of the grip doesnt seem to have the inwards curve of the P232. Stephenf1234
