Talk:SOCOM: US Navy SEALs Fireteam Bravo 3
This is the best weapon selection i've seen in a game. I very much liked to see something like this in CoD or BF games.
- I just want to see a relevant selection of weapons in shooter games. Like, for example, no modern day Russian soldiers armed with G36s, Tavors, and F2000s... Spartan198 06:21, 4 August 2010 (UTC)
Corrections
- The rifle listed as the Mark 11 Mod 0 SWS is actually a 5.56mm Mark 12 Mod 0 SPR.
- The Navy designation for the M21 sniper rifle is M25. The M21 was referred to as such on the Tears of the Sun page which dealt with SEALs, so I see this one as no different.

What SOCOM 4 should have been, weapon-wise
As said above, and a statement I agree with, this game has probably the best selection of weapons in a game ever. Fast forward to a couple months ago when SOCOM 4 is released and the weapon selection largely sucks, with very few of FTB's new weapons making it in. All that made it in was (I think) the SCAR-H, Cheytac M200, PKM, and the XM500. No SCAR-L, no Mark 18, no HK416/417, no Mark 12, no Mark 14, no M249, no Mark 46, no M26 UBSG... WTF, Zipper? And furthermore, there was no proper M14 like appeared (and very frequently used by me) in SOCOM 3 and Combined assault, the M16A4 and AK-47 were relegated to DLC status (but to Zipper's credit, they were free to DL instead of paid DLC like most other DLC would be), and the M4's grenade launcher mod was a freaking GP-25! Have you ever seen a GP-25 on an M4? It's got to be the ugliest combination I've ever seen! And to add insult to ugliness, unlocking a grenade launcher for an assault rifle means said GL is 'permanently attached to that assault rifle unless you pick up one during a mission that doesn't have it. But at least the ACR was pretty cool and you could actually use unscoped semi-auto sniper rifles like the M110 as conventional battle rifles this time around since their fire rates weren't "slowed for balance".
