Talk:Smith & Wesson Model 29
Really a 3" 29?
I don't this is an actual 'snub' 29. It does appear to be an N-frame and does have the full-length .44-size cylinder but it can't be a .44 - The tapered barrel is an automatic giveaway (Compare to the other 29s and the 629 snub on the main page). I'm just surprised I didn't notice it earlier. StanTheMan 19:46, 20 October 2010 (UTC)
Separate pages for 29 and 629?
- I only ask because having the 29 and 629 both under one page is a bit confusing, especially when the rest of the earlier Smith and Wesson guns (pistols included) all have separate pages for each of the blue steel guns and their stainless counterparts. StanTheMan 18:32, 22 September 2010 (UTC)

Short Barreled 629s
I think that the custom barrels of the 629s from Extreme Prejudice, Beverly Hills Cop and The Hitcher are made by John Jovino Gun Shop or Magna-Port Combat Conversion Kit, but more probably is Magna Port. With a quick search on google you understand what I mean.

Look at the thin compensation holes in the middle of the barrel. It's a peculiarity of both brands.
