Hobo with a Shotgun (2011)
Hobo with a Shotgun is an upcoming 2011 movie, based on the fake trailer featured in some screenings (mainly in Canada) of Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez project Grindhouse. It's the second feature being made out of fake trailer from this movie (the first is Machete). Note: The pictures are the screenshots from the teaser trailer
Following firearms were used in the movie:
Remington 870
In the feature version, instead of Ithaca 37, used by Hobo in the original fake trailer, Hobo (David Brunt was replaced by cult actor Rutger Hauer) uses Remington 870 to execute various criminals including serial killer covered with blood and cocaine, "crackheads" (notorious nazi-like gang of maniacs, who can be recognised by various helmets and unusual weapons such as swords), pimps, bumfights film-makers and, of course, pedophile in Santa suit.
Smith & Wesson Model 57
One of the robbers (in the mask of Darth Vader) can be seen with Smith & Wesson Model 57 in the robbery scene.
Molotov Cocktail
One of the co-called "crackheads", who also a corrupt cop (played by none other then original Hobo David Brunt) uses Molotov Cocktail to burn alive homeless woman and her kid.
Unidentified revolver
Robber in green shirt and red mask can be seen carriying a revolver, but it's hard to identify it.
Unidentified shotgun
One of the "crackheads" seen with an unidentified shotgun, while falling on the burning car.
Trivia
Unrealistic muzzle flashes
In teaser trailer muzzle flashes are awful, unrealistic, yellow and totally CGI, though teaser itself is so cool that it's a very minor minus. I hope, that the situation will change in the final film.
Shot-in-shot
Hobo with a Shotgun did not utilize the same technique as Machete (i.e. recycling originally shot footage for the full length feature) - Director Jason Eisener did not recycle any of the footage from original trailer (which was necessary since the actors were recast). Some of the refilmed sequences are literally shot for shot recreations of the original faux trailer.
