Down in the Valley
The film is about the relationship between rebel teen Tobe and the much older Harlan, who lives by the cowboy code. Down in the Valley was written and direted by David Jacobson.

Single Action Army
Harlan (Edward Norton) owns two Single Action Army revolvers and is seen dual wielding them. Harlan practices drawing, firing, and also tricks such as twirling when he is in his apartment. Harlan lets Lonnie (Rory Culkin) fire his revolver when they go out shooting together. Lonnie's father Wade (David Morse) also owns a Single Action Army in his extensive gun collection. When Lonnie shows Harlan the collection, Harlan describes as a Colt Model 1921. At one point, Wade is seen pulling his Single Action Army while confronting Harlan.
Smith & Wesson Model 64
Detective Sheridan (Geoffrey Lewis) carries a Smith & Wesson Model 64 as his sidearm. Wade later picks up and uses Sheridan's revolver to go after Harlan.
