Flashlight

The flashlight used in this film on HBT P226s and in The Rock on Cage's 92FS are clearly SureFire 310R (early Laser Products models). But the 310R/610R series is designed only for 1911 series. I've never seen a 310R on any other weapon that is not a 1911. Since the switch boxes of these torches are made of iron, they are easily modified and adapted to other medium frame automatics. My theory is that they have been filed down and cut to fit on other pistols.

I made a mistake. There is a specific Surefire flashlight model for each gun, but it was not easy to find them. I'll update this page shortly with the numbers of each flashlight.--Charly Driver 13:02, 13 April 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for the info. I remember thinking they looked like early Surefires, but wasn't sure. -MT2008 02:04, 14 April 2010 (UTC)
Here's the list. I don't know where to report this information, so I put it here. The initial number indicates if the flashlight is the 3w (standard) or 6W (longer) version.

H&K USP (.40 and .45) - 309R/609R, 1911 series - 310R/610R, Sig P220 - 314R/614R, Sig P226 - 332R/632R, Beretta 92F and 92SB - 333R/633R, Standard framed Glock - 344AR/644AR.

These are not all the versions, but only the most common. There were several editions of this flashlight, generally older have a slide switch on both sides and are marked "Laser Products" before the transition to "SureFire". Newer instead have a single normal switch located on the left of the module. This flashlight was used a lot in the late '80s up until the '90s because it was almost the only flashlight available. --Charly Driver 11:50, 14 April 2010 (UTC)

HBT?

Anyone know what the SWAT team was called in The Negotiator? In Chicago, they're known as HBT (Hostage, Barricade, Terrorism). --Ben41 17:11, 15 May 2010 (UTC)

I'm pretty sure that the team led by Beck was a Chicago HBT. But the team which stormed the building near the end was FBI HRT. -MT2008 17:38, 15 May 2010 (UTC)

It's been a while since I've watched this movie, but I distinctly remember them specifically referring to HBT. Also, I seem to recall Beck's uniform having the HBT logo on it.--Lynx 17:54, 15 May 2010 (UTC)
