Left 4 Dead 2
Nice, but where's the trigger? This article or section is incomplete. You can help IMFDB by expanding it. |
Left 4 Dead 2 is the direct sequel to the Co-op Game, Left 4 Dead.
Pistols
SIG P220
A SIG P220 is now the standard handgun for the Survivors. The pistol is completely stainless, which could mean that it was based off of the SIG Sauer P220 Stainless Carry/SAO, although that model features a beaver tail grip while the pistol in the game does not. The factory sights have been replaced with unknown custom sights. It's equipped with an underbarrel tactical flashlight. Magazine capacity is 15 rounds. The slide of the pistol has "Triton P220" printed on it.
Glock 19
A Glock model 19 is seen used as the second handgun for dual wielding. It does not feature the flashlight at the moment. Magazine capacity is also 15 rounds.
Desert Eagle
The pistol holds 8 rounds, like the .44 Magnum version, even though it is modeled after the .50 caliber version. The Desert Eagle has more recoil and a slower rate of fire, but much more power than the standard sidearms. This weapon usually kills common infected with a single shot or knocks them back or down. It also has greater accuracy. You can not dual wield the magnum. When found in Whitaker's Gun Shop, a sign names the pistol "Desert Cobra," and the game fiction states that only 2000 were ever made and prices them at 2000 dollars apiece.
Shotguns
Composite shotgun
A similar shotgun like the "Renegade Rangmaster" from the first game appears in this game.
Benelli M4 Super 90
The shotgun from the first game another Second Tier weapon, the Benelli M4 in-game has a 10-round magazine and a flashlight clipped to the barrel right in front of the handguard.
Remington 870
Remington 870 Marine Magnum is seen with a Mariner NP3 finish. It is speculated that it's a direct clone of the previous shotgun. It has a vent rib and a ghost ring sight. has a tighter spread than the default, but slightly less damage.
SPAS 12
The SPAS 12 is featured as the resident Auto Shotgun. It carries 10 rounds. Unlike many games, it is fired semi-auto. It has the tightest spread, and does more damage per pellet, but to compensate it shoots less pellets per shell. It has a shoulder hook for one-handed firing, though it's never used.
SMGs
MAC-10
Seen fitted with the legendary Mitchell Werbell suppressor. On some versions, it appears to have a flashlight attached to the surpressor with zip ties. It has a 50 round magazine, despite the fact the one used in the game looks no longer than a 30 round magazine.
IMI Uzi
The Uzi from the first game.
Rifles
Ruger Mini-14
The Ruger Mini-14 hunting rifle has been carried over from the previous game.
Hip accuracy has been significantly increased compared to the L4D1 version, in fact it is the most accurate weapon on the move in L4D2. With a laser sight it is even more accurate on the move than any SMG. It is also slightly more accurate than the G3SG1.
M16A2
The M-16 from the first game appears in Left 4 Dead 2. This appears to have the highest rate of fire out of the assault rifles.
AKM
An AKM is seen in the fuselage video. The AKM has a 40 round mag, 10 less than the M16. It has the lowest rate of fire of the assault rifles, but very good damage.
Its identified as an AKM by its muzzle compensator, stamped steel receiver, night sight mounting bracket on the left side and plastic 7.62x39mm, 30 round magazines. However, it has a 40 round capacity (which is possible in real life by using RPK magazines, although it makes the weapon rather bulky).
FN SCAR-L
FN SCAR-L uses a 60 round magazine, and fires in a three-shot burst (although if you keep the trigger depressed, it will fire successive three-shot bursts without the need to pull the trigger again). It has very high accuracy, and appears to do more damage than the M16.
Actually if you look at the side of the rifle when you hold it you can make out MK-17, meaning it is the SCAR-H.Jp 00:40, 17 January 2010 (UTC)
- And if you look at the magazine, you'll clearly see it's a SCAR-L. Spartan198
HK G3/SG1
The Heckler & Koch G3/SG1 will serve as a long range weapon like the Mini-14 from the first game. It uses a 30 round magazine, double than the previous hunting rifle. The HK G3SG/1, 91 and all variants do have a 30 round magazine that is in use by the German military.
Actually its a mix between the HK MSG90A1 and the HK G3SG1. It has the MSG90A1's stock, trigger group, and barrel, but it also has the G3SG1's fore-grip and bi-pod, rear sight, and scope mount.
Machine Guns
Browning M2 Machine Gun
Replaces the GE M134 Minigun from the first game.
M60 Machine Gun

Other
M79 Grenade Launcher
A rare and powerful weapon. As a single-shot, area-effect weapon, it must be reloaded after every firing and the wielder must pay particular attention not to hurt self or teammates in the explosion. It comes with 31 fragmentation grenades, can kill even a Tank in only 3-5 hits (on Normal difficulty), and has almost no arc (unlike most games). Can use flame rounds if incendiary ammo boxes are used. For some bizarre reason, you can also put a laser sight on it.
Pipe Bomb
The pipe bomb from the first game is reintroduced. As in the first game the pipe bomb has a smoke alarm attached to it that beeps loudly and brings zombies running.
That fuse never gets smaller for some reason?
Molotov Cocktail
Re-introduced from the first game.
German Version
Because of the strict censorship in Germany Valve decided to add 4 Counter-Strike: Source weapons. You are able to use them even in non-German versions of the game if you play with someone with the German version. You can also use these weapons via cheat in the console(give smg_mp5...)
