Superman II is a film that was released in 1980 as a sequel to the 1978 film Superman. The movie was shot simultaneously with the first film, but production conflicts led to the firing of original director Richard Donner. The film was completed under the direction of Richard Lester. In 2006, Richard Donner's original vision for the film was released under the title: "Superman II: The Richard Donner Cut".
