- Yay! Gunmaster screencapped it. Does anyone know when are the Vietnam War Scenes suppossed to take place?-Oliveira 15:42, 6 July 2009 (UTC)
- I'd assume it is 1968. - Gunmaster45
- This film had also some of the best looking Nam sequences in a movie. Their Technical advisors were good. Not just battle scenes but equipment/guns and the look of the soldiers was all accurate.MPM2008
- On the DVD commentary the director said Capt. Dale Dye (Ret.) was the technical advisor for the film. He was also the advisor on Platoon. --Predator20 05:41, 30 August 2009 (UTC)

The Thompson
Moved from main page
- Another one of Lt. Dan's ancestors, who died during World War II, is seen holding an M1 Thompson submachine gun, noted by it's lack of a Cutts Compensator.
Correction: He is holding a 1928A1 Thompson (Note the actuator is on the top not the side). The 1928A1 was made with and without the Cutts.
Interesting, I didn't know that personally. I thought all older Thompsons had the Cutts Compensator, or at least I had only seen 'em with it anyway. Learn something new every day, I always say. I'd imagine it'd be rare to see a '28 Tommy Gun with the Cutts though.
Anyway, I'll re-edit it. StanTheMan 15:19, 15 April 2010 (UTC)
